Don't know why people say this, time and again I am proved right, facts are we simply will never get a cold winter again let alone snow on the south coast, last time significant time was 2010, 14 years ago
I remember marathon training in heavy snow in January 2013.

Settled and lay at least 4 inches deep.

Some pics on here:

We get laying snow every single winter in Wadhurst since I moved here in 2013.
It is only the duration and depth that varies.
Sometimes for a day, sometimes for 1-2 weeks

I remember your 10 inches from 2018 from the beast from the east, we got 1 inch

We finally have a dusting of snow in Toronto. Unlike a couple of hours north of the city which had 140cm over the weekend and had to declare an emergency.
Our driveway this morning. About 50km north of Ottawa.

Never say never. There’s a lot of unknowns with regards to the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, and what a continued slowdown / collapse may mean.

It's global warming, init. In Worthing last year, we did have one day with a couple of hours of lying snow. That was quite surprising for another mild winter.

The weather can be vastly different either side of the Downs. The coastal strip is kept mild by the sea temperature in winter.
