I'm hoping (false hope!) that the American snowstorms currently hit us on the 4th Jan. Work want a bellcheesefest in London for 2 days on the 5th & 6th so I'm looking for excuses! :) Also looking at train strikes, but they've already said they will put coaches on if that happens!

The small spit of land near Corpus Christi saw temperatures on Friday afternoon of at a very unseasonal 38 degrees Fahrenheit (or -12 degrees Celsius). “It’s very windy, we have enormous waves,” Ms Ruedi said. “You can definitely see the palm trees bowing.”

Who writes this crap ? 38F is about 3C, not -12

snow warning is up :moo:

Interestingly earlier i saw one for Shoreham ..early hours of Tuesday ..that had now disappeared ..but further along the coast at say Chichester there is a snow warning….thing this is one to watch and could go either way depending on where you are …. my amateur no qualification opinion

Looks unlikely in Findon. Too far East?

Nothing our way. The BBC is as deluded as it gets on their website. Snow falling "across the South East". Maybe in Kent?
