Would love snow but this winter has been fairly pleasurable.

Very little rain , lots of sunshine early part of Jan . Hardly any storms.

Literally coasting towards spring. ( so far )

Maybe the fat lady isn't singing just yet?

"Snow is set to batter much of the UK by the end of the week, with the white stuff expected to settle and leave some areas blanketed in snow, forecasters say.

The mercury will plummet as an Arctic plunge sweeps the isles causing around 3 inches of snow to fall over vast areas of UK ground on Saturday, according to meteorologists at WXCharts.

In maps, the weather agency shows a massive snow front sweeping across Britain from the northwest, covering Scotland first before moving south.

Netweather also reported there is an 80 to 100 per cent chance of snow hitting high grounds from January 31.

But the wintry front is set to spread south, affecting areas all over Britain as we move into February.

Someone had better tell the Met Office :smokin::lol:

Headline:
Dry with scattered cloud

Today:
A sunny morning for many. Scattered cloud developing during the afternoon, although there will still be some intermittent sunny spells. Windy in the afternoon and feeling milder than yesterday. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:
Clear at first this evening, but cloud spreading in from the north after midnight with a chance of rain. Staying windy throughout. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday:
Cloudy with patchy rain at first, but clearing south in the morning to a largely dry and sunny day. Clear skies continuing overnight. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Mostly bright and sunny with occasional fog patches Friday morning. Turning cloudy with outbreaks of light rain overnight and through Saturday with strong winds. Dry and bright Sunday, light winds.

31 Jan- 9 Feb
Through this period, the weather is likely to start off wetter than of late, with blustery showers in the north and cloudy with rain in the south, before clearing away through the day on Monday to leave brighter conditions. Cloudy and dry weather is then possible to return for most at the end of January, while it is likely to be wet and windy in the northwest at times, with wintry showers possible over high ground in Scotland. Moving into February, the largely settled and cloudy weather is likely to remain for most, with some rain and wind in the far northwest at times. Overall, temperatures are likely to be near or milder than average through this period, although some brief colder than average spells in the north are possible.

10-24 Feb
The current north-south split to the weather is likely to continue from mid-February and through to the second half of the month, with most seeing drier than average conditions. The northwest of the UK is likely to see some rain and strong winds at times. During this period, temperatures are likely to remain milder than average overall, with brief colder incursions possible in the north.

I must have missed the 3 inches of snow at the weekend and then snowy weather spreading to the South affecting all areas etc etc etc.

Some lovely warm spring sunshine in sheltered areas though.
