Interesting Marc, may I ask where you get this idea from? I don't see anything particularly wintry on the GFS, for the South at least..Looks like Rain for us.

only what MetCheck says, they are usually very good for short range (1-3days, 100x better than the BBC Weather anyway!) so not sure how good their long range forecasting is...but ya never know!

Incidently the actual weather forecasts (video) on the BBC i've found to be very good, just a shame the actual forecast on the left is just so crap...really not sure how they can get it so wrong when their very own video forecast says differently! bizarre!

Lancing
4/08 - 4 inches
2/09 - 6 inches
12/09 - 7 inches
1/10 - 6 inches

Not a bad run for these parts.

I honestly don't see any snow for us looking at the charts, heavy run for the South, perhaps snow in the north. But it all depends on that System as to whether we get the NW'ern tip of it. A lot can still change though. I have to say I almost would prefer no snow this time of year, mainly because its normally just a quick affair because its hard to get sustained cold in March/April.

If I've learnt anything about weather, it's not to trust Metcheck with any forecast longer than 48 hours.

I never want to see snow ever again. A foot of that shit dumped on LGW a couple of hours before I was due to fly to the Canaries on 6th Jan. Spent 30 f***ing hours there (including a quick nip back to Preston Park halfway through to re-humanise). Plane was delayed by 37hours and 20mins and finally took off from Birmingham, thereby ensuring it was diverted to Tenerife for the night. Luckily I gave up on the trip a mere 30 hours in. Insurance claim is still rumbling through the system. Bunch of arse!

Here's one of me holiday snaps:

Going to give it another go over Easter. But psychically scarred for life and fully expected some kind of crap to hit the airport bang on cue. Oh well.

There's a rogue report in today's Sunday Mirror that says the snow will return by Wednesday

Can't find it mentioned anywhere else.

What say the NSC weather forecasters?

There is a possibility of snow down here Tues into Wednesday... but I'd say it's unlikely and would be very transient. Up north there's much more chance.
