Apologies for snow lovers seeing this at the top - its a bit OT

Anyone got a link to a good weather site that shows what the weather has been eg what was today's maximum temp etc?

Cheers

Lots of people have been sharing that Express article onto my FB feed today. What can i say to shut them up, which doesn't involve violence or the word 'c**t'?

met office gives you all the details for the last 24 hours. For a longer period than that, wunderground is very good.

The award-winning official "More snow tomorrow?" thread [2013-14 season]

People keep telling me snow but I won't believe until this thread says it . I'm talking like a weather man in pubs now . Very concerning

Selfishly, the more snow the better - I simply don't bother leaving the house for London at the first sign of a snowflake and work from home.

Obviously I'm no Papa  but from what I can see for next week is that the two coldest days (at this stage) are Tues and Wed, with a small chance of the odd wintry shower on either day. After that the general consensus in the models appears to be a SE or easterly flow. So it looks like it could stay at average to just below temp wise for next week.
So IMO no mega snow down here! Although in the NW and Scotland up above say 200M they'll see the white stuff with settling.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Met office site says there might be a sleet shower here on Tuesday evening, and it will be cold. Nothing about the new ice age though.

AS Casbom has said, there's a couple of chilly days forecast for down here, with Max temps of 3-4C, so it will feel very cold. There is a chance of a wintry shower getting this far south (on a NW to NE wind) but it'll be too warm for anything to settle. Areas exposed to the wind, such as NW England and, N, W & E Scotland and possible North Devon / Somerset / Cornwall (in the initial NW wind) and NE England down to Norfolk (later as the wind becomes NE) will see some falling snow or sleet, but only places to the far north, or with plenty of height will see anything settle.

Any newspaper article that includes the line "Jonathan Powell, forecaster for Vantage Weather Services, said" is doomed to failure.
