It was mentioned a few posts ago, but there is a significant clump of showers moving into the Thames estuary. Not technically a steamer yet, as that is an inland feature, but if that is able to push inland without totally evaporating then East Sussex would potentially be in the firing line; plus we've got lighter stuff coming down from the NW.

Rain Today

What temps are people seeing around the county at the moment?

A barmy 2c here in Broadwater.

I'm currently putting the kids to bed, but it was 2c when i was last able to check about half an hour ago , here in Durrington. It's the cloud cover that's to blame. Give us half an hour of clear skies and we'd have sub zero temps and a frost.

Shame, as the dew points low enough for snow.

Metcheck

Or

Bbc/met office?

I think I'll opt for the latter.

Neither are brilliant, BBC said Eastbourne would get rain today and no snow, we actually got no rain and a little flurry of snow. Metcheck for me is more accurate and predicted this.

And currently 2c here, bit warmer compared to the same 1c this time yesterday.

EDIT - dropped to 1c just as i posted this.

I personally use neither. Metcheck always used to be up the shitter, and as for BBC? Ha!

Netweather is the only weather forecast I look at.

There is a 90% probability of severe cold weather/icy conditions between 0900 on Sunday and 0900 on Friday in parts of England. This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services. Please refer to the national Cold Weather Plan and your Trust's emergency plan for appropriate preventive action.

Just checked the raintoday website and saw a massive blob of precipitation heading into the Thames estuary.

Just went outside to do my bins for tomorrow morning...yep, it's snowing in sunny south Essex.

Arseholes.

The snow can't be far from the far flung eastern parts of Sussex...

Edit to add: and the other lighter stuff, can't be far off the NW border either
