Looking forward to tonight. Smack them around for a bit longer, then start to knock 'em over.

Abort, retry, fail
Must be in the running for MOM this test.

I think he might be only the seventh Englishman to take more than six catches in one innings* and shares the Ashes record with Read, Stewart and Russell.

We might see him at Falmer. He is married to the daughter of Sammy Nelson, who can be seen at Withdean, when he is not hosting at the Emirates.

* That doesn't sound correct - but I'm sure that is what I read. Hmmm...

I have just finished work for the evening, am not on duty again until the 3rd January, and am now propped up with a cold Magners to hand and some munchies to accompany it, with nothing to get up for tomorrow morning and thus potentially a whole night's cricket to enjoy.

Bring. It. On.

It would be lovely to see Prior knock up a hundred too, may I add, although in my mind he always looks a bit nervous and is fairly prone to getting out early on.

Fingers crossed for more Aussie pie chucking, a good thrash around for the England batsmen, and then let us RIP into the Australian line up before the pitch flattens out completely.

Our English pundits are certainly going for Pontin's throat!

Who could blame them? A holiday in Southport would consign me to an early death by suicide.

What about Prestatyn? I've heard Camber Sands is quite delightful in December too.

Did I really just hear Nasser Hussain say that Ponting sometimes lets himself down as a captain? :lolol:

All very well having a go at Ponting and nice to have a gloat but he has been a superb cricketer and had fantastic success.

Although it will be great to see the Aussies get trounced, I have to admit that I like Ponting and his passion, and he has to have played a huge part in their domination over the last 10 years under his captaincy. Let's not spoil what will be a great victory by demonstrating to them what 'wingeing Poms' our pundits are, as there is no need to go on about it when try should just be talking about our great play.

Let's face it we've seen a lot worse from Man Utd in the Roy Keane era in their ref baiting days.

Things he's probably done for years are also getting picked on now because the Australians aren't playing well. They were never an issue when they were beating everyone, but they are now.

Great player in his time, scored way more Test centuries than anyone in the England side. But seems quite easily wound up and certainly didn't do himself any favours yesterday. Can't wait to see how the Barmy Army respond to him when he comes out to bat- Pietersen certainly copped some stick from the home crowd on Day 2, presumably linked to the Ponting incident, which was completely undeserved.
