For me ... If you'd played Woakes and Wood from the first test, and taken the decision that Jimmy seems incapable of making for him (ie don't pick him) and you'd probably be looking at 3-1 or 4-0 in favour of England by the end of today, instead of what I expect will become 2-2.
Wood wasn't fit at the start of the series.
A point Ian Chappell seems incapable of grasping in his columns for Cricinfo.
You're not Ian Chappell are you? That would be a turn up. :lolol:

Foakes, Woakes and Wood ( Bairstow for batting only ) and Tongue for longer........no question.
This is the series win that got away. We have shown what we are capable of. Poor decision making, sloppy errors, one over cocky declaration and too much loyalty in certain areas. The Aussies were beatable in this series. We beat ourselves.

I know that this isn't over yet by any stretch, and also that this is massive aftertiming on my part, but I never understand why some people are so quick to write off England's chances when the chasing team make a good start.
Obviously you'd rather take early wickets than not, but unless you run through a team for under a hundred they'll always have a good partnership at some point.
