I thought we could chase down 400, but having watched England repeat the Aussies tactics I just don’t know how we are going to score, having watched how the Aussies fell apart I’m guessing we probably will as well.

Not even getting hopes up because all we are going to get is another barrage of this when England bat, it’s literally impossible to score off it..

Q to anyone old enough to remember (as a 90’s baby) apparently these tactics were fairly common in the 80’s, how did teams combat it then? It just seems impossible to score from without taking risks that will eventually get you caught.

The West Indies team of the 70s and 80s was the most brilliant and most aggressive I have ever seen. I grew up watching and admiring them. It wasn’t their problem how other teams combatted them.
