So basically we will have 500 people annoying the f*** out of people by blowing a f*****g hooter in their ear all game.......

as opposed to 6000 people getting behind the team and shouting themselves hoarse....aprt from the whingers and whiners and sit and watchers - who make up 80% of the crowd!!!

I will obviously be singing and shouting as I always do, especially IF KRISPIES SINGS THE GAY SONGS:angry:

COME ON THE ALBION:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

It is a shame that things like this have to be set up. But until areas of standing are brought back it is very hard make a good atmosphere. So stunts like this have to be brought in to make some noise. Bring back standing and bring back the noise with it.

That is a myth.

Everyone knows it is better to stand up and that people are more likely to sing if they are BUT to blame lack of singing on the fact that people cannot stand at Withdean ignores the atmosphere at other grounds where fans manage to sing.

The real reasons are:

- There are no roofs and generally crap acoustics.
- The singing section are MILES from the away fans so no banter.
- The ground is generally NAFF and depressing.
- The team often fails to get the crowd going.
- People at Withdean are boring.

Apologies if the idea has already been raised but...

What about the subs pumping up the Soujth Stand at periodic intervals? This happened at Millennium just before we got the penalty.

At away games i usually stand or sit if made too with my mates and have a drink. At withdean I rarely drink and sit next to elderly people who do not sing.

Join stand up sit down and start petioning for standing areas in stadia

Now there's an idea - an inflatable south stand instead of that stupid scaffolding. That way the place would really be bouncing for even the most boring match... Even a gentle breeze should give the impression that thousands of dozing supporters are, in fact, a seething, swaying, sweaty mass of rabid fans. A bit of crowd noise blasted out from loudspeakers underneath and it would be like watching Galatasaray.

They are f***ing shit. The one at St James Park for the England game was cringe worthy. It was the only time in the whole game I sat down as I did not want to be seen as part of it.
Misery, Piers!

Prediction is that the Argus will hand out hooters to the Leicester fans by mistake.

Damn you beat me to it, but entirely agree with that statement, apart from the last point. We never had a problem creating an atmosphere at the Goldstone, but it was better for creating an atmosphere.

It's a touch lame to blame it all on Withdean, but it's not designed for atmosphere. I'm not sure about the whole hooters thing (?), but anything to get an atmos going in my opinion will be great.

Getting there earlier is a good idea. I'll catch an earlier train tomorrow. Perhaps the teamsheet will get some response with more people in the ground.

Give yourself time to lubricate your tonsils with a few pints of Harveys , Doug. That always puts me in the mood for plenty of singing and shouting.
