He was in a catch 22 situation. Due to his business he had to put himself forward as project leader because if he didn't and they lost he would have gone for that alone. As it is since he did and they lost he had to go unless they had done very well and one person had really screwed up.

I think the girls were lucky to win that, they're food was much worse but the client was generous in not taking much off the fee. They were also lucky to get the first contract as their pitch was much worse than the boys.
Although entertaining, that wasn't a very good task because it wasn't a true reflection of the real world. How are you supposed to negotiate when that is your only possible customer, that client could've said he wanted it for a fiver a head and they would've had to do it.

That James bloke, what a cock. He is making himself very unemployabe.

Agree that the task was a bit lame. Not sure how else they could have done it though without risking a situation where one of the teams either had no contract or a contract for a company that would / could not be filmed. Perhaps they could have had both companies in the same room and then got the teams to pitch to them. Then had some kind of closed biding where the companies wrote down what they were prepared to pay for each menu / idea.

The girls were lucky - they were very poor. There will be people who went to the party the girls catered who would have been watching that last night shaking their heads that the girls got away with it.

The critical mistake for the boys (apart from totally getting the theme wrong for the canapé party) was the costings. As soon as they knew the budget per hard they should have worked from there. This is probably a case where minimalism comes to their rescue - very small but expensive looking canapés would have been the answer. The boys over spent (on the silly and unnecessary set dressing and on the food) because they didn't do simple costings. Sadly, the sandwich lad had to go.

It was a terrible task, they were all abysmal and I wouldn't have wanted any of them to cater for me or my pets.

The girls leader was OK in that role, as she was managing a bag of vipers, but they were a bit lucky, only the total ineptitude of the opposition saved them.

I felt a bit sorry for Rocky, it was a total balls-up of a task but everyone performed equally badly and he's clearly got some initiative to do what he's done by 21, and overcome his football setback.

Personally I'd have sacked the Geordie estate agent purely for coming down from £65 to £15 per head in a flash offering the same food. That shows he's never going to be any good under pressure.

I agree with why they lost but that was not down to the team leader. He did his costing and menu based on £60 ahead. When the price was negotiated down what was being offered should have been as well. Instead the idiot doing the talking agreed to the price for the original menu.

I think that Phillip will win it. Havent really selected a woman yet that I think will go the distance. James is a complete knob, but his mouth has the ability to get him far in business. I think Howard is shite and he wont last more than 2 more episodes

The program is so set up, there is no way that anyone would be able to get an appointment with people straight away, especially being a top accountancy firm in London, it just wouldn't happen..

That James is a right cock, and he's clueless.

Yasmina I thought was a very good manager, although she appears to be a right twat, she managed all her group well, and although the food looked shit, she deserved to win.
