Never known such apathy going into an FA Cup third round match. Considering we reached the semi final last season you would have thought there would be a reasonable level of excitement.

Is it because the opponents are not sexy enough?
Overpriced?
The likely turn out of our reserves/youth team?

I hate it when certain parts of the ground are mothballed. If you are a season ticket holder you should be entitled to that seat and especially if you hold the License for that seat. If we hopefully never get relegated but if we ever did does that mean that the upper tiers will be mothballed to save cash.
Barber has learnt a lot about supporter satisfaction since he has come to the club but he still has a way to go.

Trouble is that in opening the upper tiers the club stand to make a loss. Extra stewards etc for a small return in revenue. I don’t mind that I can’t sit in my usual seat. Games like Saturdays give me an opportunity to sit elsewhere and get an idea of how other fans get to view the matches.

I think people are put off by the chance of wholesale Youth Team players, like v Villa. We have a lot of senior fringe players who ned game time. Just a couple of youth teamers is OK but not when it's men against boys.

No. it's because the league is far, far more important and sadly the FA Cup is no longer regarded by many as a particularly interesting competition.

I hope the reserves / youth team are put out tomorrow. PL survival must be our only priority and whilst we are playing some outstanding, glorious football, we are far from safe yet. We have enough first teamers out at present and I'm sure Potter wouldn't want to risk any others picking up injuries.

Three or four from the Development Squad by all means, but we have more than enough other players from the First Team Squad who can play, and still enable us to hopefully win the game.

I'm really struggling with this one - on the one hand, I really fancy it and getting to see the fringe players is as much of the appeal as anything else.

Button
Schelotto Duffy Roberts Bernardo
Baluta Stephens
Jahanbakhsh Gross Gwargis
Murray

Would really interest me, but I have a lot of other things to do tomorrow. If it was sunday, I would be there no question.

I'm guessing those that care about watching an under-strength side will have been put off after the league cup shenanigans.

Ironically the only injury picked up in the league cup game was to the only PL Squad member (Shane Duffy)

As a North Stand STH, this is exactly why I want the upper tiers open. I've sat in the East and West lower loads of times for friendlies and cup games now and it's not that different. I really want to give the upper tiers a try!
