I bought The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails when I was about 11/12 and it completely blew me away. Still love them to this day.

Prior to that, it would probably be Nevermind by Nirvana or Dookie by Green Day that got me into rock/alternative/grunge type music

For me it was Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy by The Who. Bought it 2nd hand from a junk shop when I was about 10. It was at least a decade before I realised that it was a complication LP, I just thought every singe track was fantastic. All Mod Cons, One Step Beyond and The Specials deserve mentions too.

Interesting selection. Would swap out Prince for Pornography by The Cure; Felt for Wish You Were Here by PF. Other three would be on my list.

I'm probably a bit older than most people on here, but Wheels of Fire by Cream, which I had as an album when it first came out when I was about 13 or 14, and I have it now on CD. Three musicians at the top of their game, with Clapton quite possibly the least of the three. Jack Bruce as a bassist and singer has always been one of my musical heroes, and Ginger Baker as a drummer was so far ahead of anyone else around at the time.
