He was never for sale, just here for experience. Same as Paul Dickov, and another lad called Gavin Oliver around the same time.

The only person I can think of is Zeke Rowe but he played about three years after Dickov.

So I don't think I have been much help.

I think Dickov was probably one of the best strikers I saw at the Goldstone (playing for us).

Nah, quality wise Dickov was way above Flatts. Flatts was a winger but never really set the world alight down here. I think he went to Cambridge not long after returning to Highbury from us.

The issue here Phil is that the fee was set by a tribunal, so it had nothing to do with Big Bad Baz.
