I was tempted to have a really big bet on the USA this week, still might today. I just think Faldo is not the right guy for this, and if Europe win it will be in spite of him rather than because of anything he does.

In a non Ryder Cup sort of way, what's the weather like in Turkey Sully? Just rebooked yesterday (after Xcel fiasco) for second week of October to Ovacik/Olu Deniz, hoping it holds til then.

Well we haqd heavy rain a couple fo days ago but clear now. Temperatures are now down to 27 here, meaning probably 29 in oludeniz but set to be dry and warmer.

However, Turkish weather forecasts are as reliable as Mıcheal Fish

It's going to be very tight. I reckon Europe have to be at least three up before the singles or the US will win. Possible but tough.

I agree with Tooting up to a point. The way Faldo dealt with the teamsheet issue was poor and the remarks about the sandwich list cringeworthy.

However, the Yanks are lacking in all departments whereas the Europeans have the right mix of gametime experience in the States, hungry rookies and wise old heads. Essentially, Faldo should just have to turn up for Europe to win.

Europe now 1 up in both matches. Good start.
