Musk spending a million a day to get voters to sign up to his pro-Trump petition. Those who sign the petition - which pledges to support free speech and gun rights - ‘will have to give their contact details, potentially allowing AmericaPAC to contact them about their vote’.

As I mentioned above - swing voters (the target here) generally treat Musk with suspicion and distrust and he is possibly wasting a lot of money mainly preaching to the converted.🙂

“A recent NBC News poll found that just 31% of independents view Musk positively. That said, the billionaire is fairly popular with Republican voters. The poll found 62% of GOP voters have positive feelings about Musk, though only 7% of Democrats said the same.”

America is totally f***ed

Indeed. A closed McDonalds owned by a ultra-MAGA franchisee. They even did rehearsals.

Because a black woman one upped him by saying she worked in a mcdonald's years ago. His fragile ego needed to even the ledger.

Good candidate for the president of the USA though.
Give him a week and he'll be saying that he worked in McDonald's himself - and that Ronald himself said he's aced it, and there had never been a better Big Mac server - the best he'd ever seen in the history of Big Macs.

True to form Trump is even ripping off the places where he holds his rallies leaving a trail of unpaid invoices stretching back as far as his 2016 campaign.....

Don't forget that whilst he was working in this pretend Macdonalds, he miraculously became working class, or as they are known in the states, trailer trash! Luckily for him, it wasn't a full time job.

Interview with a Republican farmer couple. I think you will find a lot more of these people (Trump labels them RINO immediately) than you will find Democrats for Trump. But that may not change the results in the 7 battleground states which will ultimately determine the outcome of the 2024 US presidential election.

What's most fascinating is the interview was done by Fox News.

However contrived the whole thing was, Trump showing up and actually working the fries at McDonald's is probably the smartest bit of campaigning he's done all cycle. Pretty much everything else has been a disaster for him but that was a strong response to the criticism from Harris/Walz about him not being capable of working an ordinary job. The Harris campaign is now pivoting to focusing on other oddities about the old grifter.

He didn't really work the lunch rush did he?

I do agree it was a better campaign move than any of the jackass comments he has made lately but that is like NOT eating sh!t is better than eating sh!t.

Reminder, this is a Republican talking about the effects of Donald Trump on down ticket Republicans in a very blue (Democratic) state.

CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Daywatch

Monday, October 21, 2024
Good morning, Chicago.

Republicans will try to chip away at the Democratic Party’s virtually unassailable control of the Illinois General Assembly in next month’s election, a task that may not be made any easier by the political polarization that starts at the top of the ballot.

In a decidedly blue state, former President Donald Trump’s candidacy could hurt the GOP in legislative swing districts, said John Shaw, director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

“I think there is a guilt-by-association thing going on or a guilt-by-association possibility for Republicans who are running down ballot in swing districts, and even districts that maybe trend just a little bit Republican,” Shaw said.

House Republican Leader Tony McCombie of Savanna said her party is targeting just a few seats in each election as part of a 10-year plan that will carry them to the next redistricting opportunity following the 2030 census.

“The number one thing is that people expect us to fail,” McCombie said. “I have to sell hope a lot, which is not that hard, because I still am hopeful for Illinois, but it really is a challenge to raise money in this environment.”
