You SERIOUSLY think it's possible that the world was more 'certain and safe' before Biden, purely because of Donald Trump? That he has THAT much influence over the world's dictators?

Fack me!
It does also rely on the assumption that Trump, even if he had such influence, has any interest in stopping Putin from invading Ukraine anyway.

If I was in the US I would definitely vote trump over Biden.

But besides that I'm not sure why people on this board or Europeans are so bothered by trump being president.

Like this country both parties in the states are as bad as each other. At least trump is entertaining. Also, unless I'm wrong hardly any major conflicts seemed to kick off on his watch last time around, since Biden got into power there seems to be a different issue every week, the guy is a joke.
2004 called. It wants it's troll back.

To suggest voting on the entertainment value of an abusive, narcissistic demagogue who frankly is a consummate bull in a china shop when it comes to world diplomacy would be farcical if it wasn’t blindingly irresponsible .

Suffice to say, read the background stories to the news or read back on the thread a little … conflicts don’t happen in a vacuum and they certainly don’t spring up over night, they are often years in the planning and conditions for conflict happen months if not years and years before the actual outbreak of actual hostilities …

Just for example points below; posted earlier in thread (quote edited): See especially my note on UKRAINE:

As for why people on this board are so bothered; why the rest of the World (other than Russia, Israel or North Korea) are so bothered if Trump gets back into the WH; Because the ‘leader of the free world’ affects the whole world … that’s why. Civil unrest and the undermining of liberal democracy in America (that has gone hand and hand with Trump’s first term in the WH) would send a political shockwave throughout all Western Democracies if he got elected (or even barred from running) - And this Election does effect you personally because we are living in a globalised world where militarily, economically and environmentally, the foreign policy of the US is not just intertwined with that of her allies but largely influences the direction it takes too. The next POTUS could determine whether we stay at 90 seconds, or move even closer than we already are, to midnight on the Doomsday Clock.

And what did the Dems do about the nuclear arms deal or the Doha agreement.... Nada. If they were so set against these policies why did they not try and reverse them. Especially the Doha agreement which had get out clauses.

Obviously I do agree with you on the Paris agreement that was dumb from trump.

Fake news! There are alternative facts!

I don't know why people reference this term there are alternative facts, a horse can be fast and strong for example. Its also a reference to lying by omission. Seriously whats your point?

You can see why trump is heavy favourite to get back in power with this kind of sneering attitude. 74 million voted for trump in 2020, are you calling all those people morons ?
I'm not sure the opinion of someone in the UK has much influence on the result of a US election.

Also, Clinton was the 'heavy favourite' back in 2016. That worked well...

Haha! You are not a serious contributor so why would you request a serious point? Seriously....

Thank you for this. I shall read it carefully; I don't know enough about it yet, and I am sure that there have been some shenanigans, but my initial thought is 'Undeclared and Independent voters' does not automatically mean large scale Democrat infiltration. Having said that, I am sure there are plenty of people who are just trying to prevent a dangerous second Trump term....

I do find it bizarre some on here as so relaxed about a Trump 2nd Presidency, for some to suggest they're both a same is as batshit as Trump's base

Not to mention we now have Tory politicians on the right now suggesting Trump 2.0 would be good for the world. Yeah the leader of the free world a climate change denier, a democracy denier and a serial sex offender, yeah...

Probably something to do that we can do nothing about it. I'm still not convinced he'll get in (for a number of reasons) but, if he does, the US – and the world – will have to suck it up.

However, this guy is the king of bullshit. In fact, he'd probably boast that "No-one talks more bullshit than me" in that bizzare way he rambles. So, rightly or wrongly, I take everything he says with a pinch of salt. For example, he didn't build the wall, nor did he lock 'Crooked' Hillary up and "Obamacare" didn't get fully repealed and replaced. Grifters gonna grift.

The one sliver of hope I cling to on the Ukraine situation if Trump does win is that the American arms manufacturing industry will be keen to keep having their wares “tested” against Russian gear, and they hold a lot of sway over Washington when it comes to the green stuff
And it'll kick Europe up the backside to increase weapon production (either outside or within Ukraine) and to keep the funding moving steadily, whatever Orban says.

I'm reasonably relaxed. I like to think next time round countries either ignore or stand up to his stupid games.
