I got as far as Soros being at the root of violent crime in America (with no explanation or data to back up this claim) and then the notion that republican candidates are poor and underfunded.

I couldn't find much in the way of actually evidence that we should hate Soros as much as the writer does.

For balance I have read similar pieces about republic donors and benefactors and agree that for both parties this is on the nose. Biased attacks like this do nothing to further that cause.

It‘s nothing to do with censorship- the site you linked to isn’t GDPR compliant (ie breaches EU Data Protection Laws) - presumably personal data relating to Mr Soros posted on that site relates either to a potential breach of privacy or (as the Trump Dossier case established where ‘facts’ are not adequately verified, a potential case of libel or defamation).

To be fair there are very few facts to verify from what I read. Lots of opinion and personal attack.

Sleepy Joe must be a real threat to your way of life to give a moment's pause for Trump.

Why is Biden such a threat?
A brief history of Biden‘s career, albeit from a conservative tv host. But if the shoe fits…

I‘m a conservative, as you well know, but it boggles my mind that socialism (and Marxism as espoused by others on this thread) is considered a better alternative. Has nobody ever read a history book?

Right now my kids can barely afford to put gas in their cars, feed their family and heat their house, all due to his ridiculous economic and energy policies. Not to mention immigration and foreign policy. Who can honestly say that the world is a safer place today than it was a few years ago.

I did a little look up of the author of the piece. He's a sports writer who up until a year ago mainly just wrote about American Football. A summary of articles he's written shows a line of boring articles about American sports from around 3 years ago.....and then in the last year...... a sudden change to writing right wing conspiracy nonsense exclusively for that bastion of qualitative journalism that is "theohiopressnetwork.com".

Sorry but the idea Americans can lecture anyone on “socialism” is ludicrous. They regard Bernie Sanders as a socialist, when he’s about as socialist as Tony Blair.

I’m sorry, but the reason your kids can barely afford to put gas in their cars, feed their families or heat their homes is due to unchecked inequality. Read your Piketty, he’s heavy going, but he’s backed everything up with raw data, and while there have been a lot of attacks to try and discredit him, his analysis is valid.

If you allow a system whereby it is possible for those who have everything to continue to hoover up more, just as a way of keeping score, this is how it gets.

I’m in no way anti-capitalist, but I firmly believe that as well as it being possible to have too little, it can be infinitely more dangerous to the fabric of a society to allow a few to accumulate too much.

Yup.

The Americans have ‘imported’ things like Socialism like Pizza, ‘soccer’ and coffee, ruined them and turned it into a different things completely from what the rest of the world defines them as.

The poster you are responding to means ‘right of centre’ politics when he talks about Socialism. As for Marxism……perhaps that’s how he’d view someone like Starmer? The example is Obamacare. Trying to give a bit of free healthcare to the poorest in America is seen as verging on communism.

Once you see the poverty on the streets of America, you realise what a terribly unsympathetic country it is.

Your fuel is 80p litre (half the UK) and you live in one of the sunniest places in the world. I'd get some solar panels.

I can. In a manner;

Trump would have not sent aid to Ukraine. He would have backed down to Houthis. He tried to overthrow democracy.

The world is a safer place than if Trump was president under the same circumstances.

He is a coward with no stomach for a fight. Or to even defy dictators. He welcomes them. He was elected because of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Read some of Reality Winner’s leaked documents.

The world is far safer without Trump in the driving seat.

Where would you put Biden on the political spectrum?

I am also interested in the ideas you see on this thread that are socialist, or eve. Marxist?

I can accept that Biden is useless. But I struggle to label him a socialist. And your reasons for backing Trump are no different from those of the Germans who decided Hitler was a good idea

Wasn't capitalism supposed to me boss makes a dollar and I make a dime?

I read somewhere that, At the moment it's I make a dime and the boss makes $25.

Systems fall down when people get greedy and start to f*** others over.

I think we need a mixture of different systems for different things. Most importantly though we need to reign in the current rampant capitalism that is sucking all the money up to the few.

We seem to be missing the competition element too.

Yep - that is the major failing of trickle down economics. Rather than trickle, a flood goes into bank accounts much higher up the chain. All I remember from my economics A Level is the truth of the first thing we were told - the economic problem is man's insatiable desire for goods and services.

Because this is utterly nonsense. Talk of political narrative superceding reality.

Biden, old and decrepit as he is, is not a socialist he's a centrist and the Democrats are far more centrist than our own Labour Party. You simply cannot equate Biden to AOC or Bernie Sanders who are true socialists. fwiw, I am most certainly not a socialist and agree that Sanders type would be economically ruinous. To paint Biden in that category is entirely false.

The GOP are not a conventional right wing party, if ever they truly were, they are now an extremist party beholden and enslaved to a criminal who lies and lies and has absolutely no problem trying to convince everyone that his made up lies are reality.

I admire real conservatives like Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney for standing up for truth in the face of what is now an extremist cult. How do you feel about? that real and proper, contentious conservatives are getting careers destroyed for daring to talk truth about this cult. The party of Reagan is dead.

You should be supporting real conservatives in the Lincoln project not endorsing this utter Charlatan who has been a democrat longer than a RINO.

And what of what's happened in the global economy to oil prices which caused global Inflation, here in UK in the EU in Australia, Canada and every western nation to similar degree, you believe such idiots narratives you quote, that it was just Biden?

However bad you may perceive Biden, what is actually on the ballot isn't one old man v another old man, not economy nor immigration or border. Its US Democracy or dictatorship. For if the citizens of one of the greatest nations on earth don't suddenly get a grip, then just like the Germans did in 1933, they will democratically vote in a dictatorial psychopath who will piece by piece dismantle the democratic system of government, sack all independent civil servants, throw long standing US security allies under the bus as he kowtows to its real enemies out of personal vanity.

Really, any sane American should vote for absolutely anyone or anything Versus Trump, for 4 years of any other President is better than the end of US democracy and its further decent into cult of personality dictatorship.

How is Biden useless? He has the US economy growing at 5%. UK and Europe will be lucky to get 0.5%, they are booming

Why on earth would anyone want to risk it with wanabee dictator Trump. A danger to democracy at home and abroad

I was being generous to the person to who I replied, accepting on face value that his kids' situation has got worse for reasons attributable to Biden.

I am myself concerned with Biden's gaffes, which could mean that he is no longer compos mentis, albeit this judgement is surely the preserve of the doctors who certify the sanity of the president, so again my comment may be harsh.

And you are right about the economy.

Of course Las Vagan may simply be loading absurd blame onto Biden when the real problem is something else. Not everyone who finds it hard to earn a good wedge is qualified to earn a good wedge, or wise enought to not attempt to live beyond their means.

I am happy with the rest of my assertion that to back Trump cannot be justified, and to do so (especially by blaming socialism for one's children's lack of material wealth, and mentioning immigrants) smacks of the same superficiality and self-obsession that allowed the Germans to cross the rubicon into the arms of the cheap promises of fascism.
