Again, 1 poll doesn't prove anything. Voter intent means shit if people don't turn up and vote, but this is interesting. Kansas is the reddest od red states and as big a Trump country state as you may find.

First comment puts context with previous elections.

Huge if true.

Been reading an article that says they expect one none battleground state to either flip or be very close to flipping one way or the other given the weird polling.

As exciting as all of this is, it really shouldn't be exciting at all. It shouldn't matter this much. There's so much noise around something that should be so boring. Government should be boring, it should be about doing the work and there's one party who does but one is a cult. I remain confident that Kamala Harris is going to win and it's going to be important for the world that she does. But what happens to the 70 million people voting for Trump? Even if only a third of them are hardline MAGA, that's 20 million people who are furious with reality. What happens next?

Cheers, community note or comments weren't there when i posted it.
It was fairly obvious to me that it wasn’t an election rally anyway - those crowds filled a huge football/superbowl stadium there’s no way either political candidate has been turning out anywhere near that number of people at their rallies nor doing them in such large venues.

Trump’s rallies average 5-6,000. His Madison Sq Garden rally sold out around 20,000. Harris broke her own record with 23,000 last week.

The benefit gig for Hurricane Helene filled the Bank of America Stadium with 82,000 people - ( my cousin attended - crowd was phenomenal.

- that’s the trouble with reposting information and videos from X 😉

i think you should edit your post to note that this isn’t a Harris election rally because people are still liking what is a very misleading tweet.

The least we can do on this thread is make an effort to post honest news/tweets.

I too wish it was boring.

If Trump wasn't a Putin buddy I really wouldn't care about it.

I appreciate the Americans won't really get it, but The Donald's latest tagine - TRUMP WILL FIX IT - brings up all the wrong connotations, for me.

At best he's a kids cartoon handyman with talking mobile plant as his friends. At worst, it's all a bit noncey...

People probably shouldn’t believe a lot of the shit being posted on X at the moment - ( or ever?)

Social media is rife during this campaign period with false poll results, fake news and deliberately manipulative tweets - On both sides.

Polls can be taken out of context - biased according to who commissioned them and videos/photos can be photoshopped and doctored.

Personally 5:38 I find is the most reliable site for polling information as it tells you who commissioned the polls. You can then google the organisation’s biases if any.

Let’s remember that X is owned by Trump’s biggest supporter who is campaigning for him and pouring millions into getting Trump elected.

I treat anything from that site at the moment with a degree of healthy scepticism including fake tweets apparently posted by ‘pro-harris account holders’.

Do we think the current polling at the top of the thread is reflective of what happens in the US next week, or wishful NSC thinking? 😃
I think Harris will win comfortably. There's no possible way the popular vote will be as close as the 7 million in 2020 and I'm sure this will also be reflected in the swing states that will decide the Electoral College result. There aren't enough new white supremacist misogynist racists to flip the overall result Trump's way.

So you’d rather dodge the question than answer it?

Fair enough, I’ll ask it again. What would Trump have to do to lose your support?

It’s not a difficult question. None of the words are beyond the grasp of an English language speaker. If you can’t answer it then just say so. Say there is literally nothing Trump could do that would mean you wouldn’t support him.

Murder. Being a nonce. Praising China. Nothing.

OK I get what you are saying I think. I would be pissed if he didn't appoint the line up, Musk, Kennedy, etc for Kushner and other nepotistic picks and some Neo-con warpigs RINOs etc.

Pod Save America today are talking about the attempts to lay the ground work to come back with, "there is no possible way that Kamala could have won this election". They're claiming to be ahead in every poll, claiming to be well ahead in early voting, etc. It's all just part of their tactics, because they know the truth. I believe they're getting absolutely battered at the ballot box, every serious person is aware of that and whether it's to appease Trump or genuine belief it doesn't matter.

I was under the impression, Rogan didn’t make the time for her, not the other way round? Least that’s what I heard on the Americast pod
Also heard that Trump did well on Rohan’s podcast
Rogan just said he was turned down by her as she refused do go to him and do 3 hours.

I think he's right to stand his ground on this, I'm not sure it's a great loss to her either

If Harris does win fairly comfortably it would make a lot of sense in terms of the moves that MAGAs are making at the moment, to call the result into question.
If Trump cannot become President legally or in an illegal power grab, he's likely going to Jail. Guess he thinks he has nothing to lose at 78 years old, so may as well go all in on another coup, including violent insurrection to end of the line?

I agree about them trying now to undermine legitimacy, it's all feeding the narrative they will use, as for anything like elections to be successful you need both reality and public perceptions to match.....

The reality is the US election is one of the safest and most democratic on earth, but that matters not if you can demean and undermine with lies, so enough people genuinely think it's not.

That's Trumps ground game.

As to Trump doing loads of interviews, and Harris running away from them.

No he didn't say that. That's distorted half truth.

I would argue she is much busier than him this week, and it wouldnt have taken too much for him to jump on a bizjet and do the hour.

It's happening again isn't it.

For the record, the Lancaster County guy is a republican who allegedly did similar in Florida before.

Here we go. So grimly predictable.

They are going to throw so much shit at this election process, disrupt and deny as much as possible in the hope that the average person will go "well who knows who won?"

The problem for Trump with that - surely - is that he isn't the incumbent?
