The worrying thing is that so often VAR intervention leads to confusion reigning, with nobody knows what is going on. This kills the flow of the game and leads to cards for players. Have you noticed how card happy some refs get the more control of the game they lose?

Pity he was shy with giving Caicedo a 2nd yellow.

I never knew about the ‘uncontested’ drop ball. Seems crazy that. Ok it’s only a corner but hey ….

My issue with the penalty is that he had a perfect view of the incident and didn't give a penalty.

To my mind, it's one of those that could go either way - sometimes it's given and other times it's not - itt's not a stonewaller.

In such instances a clear and obvious error hasn't occurred, and VAR should not be calling the on-field official to take another look.

Exactly. it was called on the pitch there was no clear and obvious error. The penalty against Colwill was a clear and obvious error, rightly overruled

We have looked at your call in slow motion, from a number of different angles and having spent 10 minutes in a quiet room with all sorts of technology, think differently to you, is not a clear and obvious error :wanker:

Yeah this.

In the first few seasons of VAR it was a leveller.
Now ut has become "Check club badge" when it comes to these types of decisions

Yep, second in two weeks. VAR has no business getting involved with either the Forest or Chelsea pens. They are both subjective and they are re-refeeeing the games which is exactly what they aren't supposed to be doing. I would have had no issue if either were given on the pitch. The Colwill handball is exactly what they are there for even though it went against us. I don't honestly think either Taylor or Pawson wanted to give either spot kick but once the goons at Stockley Park get involved with their slow motion nonsense he doesn't have much choice.

Personally think their penalty was fair enough. Milner never gets anywhere near the ball, and catches his foot. How can it not be a foul?

Agree Caicedo lucky to stay on, and the late VAR thing was a farce.
Never a penalty, shoulder to shoulder, yes their feet touched but he was going down by then.

When something happens that is not what you'd prefer, this doesn't mean that its wrong.

Take Brexit, for example. I was dead against it, but it turns out it was the r.....

No, hang on....

He failed to book Sterling in the first half when he stood in front of the ball preventing a free kick. At the start of the season that was a booking but apparently refs have decided to change the application of the laws.

Happens all the time and not often given especially as keeper was there - not a pen for me. But the most important thing is it was NEVER A CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR. Jarrod Gillet again, who I’m sure has done this to us several times now.
They removed clear and obvious a while back, it's clear they just used that line to get it into the game.

So we are back to square one then. Big clubs getting the lions share of decisions.
Bigger clubs were always going to get more pens etc due to the amount of time they spend in the Oppositions box normally.

The hand ball missed is now being picked up.

A bit random people thought differently, why do you think Klopp/Jose/Pep etc wanted it ?
