I live in Thatchers country - they are just down the road. One of the local cycle trails goes right through one of their orchards. They make a lot of good stuff, including some for the big supermarkets. If you look at some of the Tesco and Sainsburys premium label stuff it will say 'Made by Thatchers' on it - it's often being sold for ridiculously cheaply in the Thatchers shop on their premises which i visit quite frequently.

One of my favourite others is East Country, not West, and is Aspall Premier Cru. It's another 7 point something per center and available in most supermarkets.

Try Chucklehead cider at 7% sneaks up on you but bloody lovely and doesn't give you a hangover either as I found out this morning !

There are LOADS of better ciders than Strongbow.

Stowford Press as a draught cider would be EXCELLENT at The Amex.

The sampling has been going really well, tried most of the ciders recommended so far all been great, no real favourite just all very nice, strong stuff though innit. TriedThatchers Heritage on draught over the weekend, cloudy and weaker than the bottled cider but very nice and maybe another possibility for the Amex.
