Northern Hemisphere.
I think he he hoped more than knew where the ball was when he swang his foot back. To me it looked instinctive the way his leg swang as far back as it did until there was contact with the ball.
Red seems debatable but definitely a yellow.

How can you say that’s a red?

Players go for over head kicks quite regularly and accidentally kick defenders, don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone sent off for it? Besides, if the referee decides it’s a yellow and has to watch is 20+ times before he decides it’s a red, why is he changing his decision?

Maybe learn the rules?

PLAYING IN A DANGEROUS MANNER

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.

A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that it is not dangerous to an opponent.

Strange one, was a bit dangerous so right decision but don't think it was intentional. He's young he'll learn from it. We have decent midfield options so not the end of the world just a little blip on a very good away performance.

Definitely a red, but no way is they worthy of a 3 match ban

I don't think it should be a red. I get that intent doesn't matter, but there is a difference between flying in two footed and what Bissouma did. I also think that Friend had a great view of the incident and he didn't think it was a red, so why change his mind?

Red doesn't have to be deliberate... juts has to be dangerous play.... studs in the face is the definition of dangerous play. Red and very very stupid. Didnt need to do it.

I'll bet the ban is increased and we won't appeal.

Clearly not intentional or malicious, but it is dangerous so can't really complain about a red.

Shame, as he had an absolute belter today.

Maybe learn peoples opinions can differ? So a bicycle kick in a crowded penalty area should be a red card then? How many times a season do we see a player attempt an overhead kick, and accidentally kick an opposition player? Yet I’ve never, that I can remember, seen someone sent off for that.
