Good for them protesting. Hope we do something too. A few caveats about the banner though. Some of the textual information is spot on but the design is tacky and the caricature could be seen as stereotypical and therefore racist. I hope we do it better.

The representation of Mohammed bin Salman is from an actual photo of him, and to additionally identify him his robe is marked "P.I.F".

A photo of him with a blood splattered scimitar? I don't think he gets his hands dirty. But there is undoubtedly blood on them.

You’d think maybe at the moment the police would have other things to prioritise….. is free speech no longer a thing?
I dread to think what threats and new rules our club will dream up for this fixture in a fortnight.

In particular the Met. Hardly a beacon of light themselves are they !

Nice one.

Although, I am convinced someone else produced that for the HFs. Unlike a lot of people on here I don't begrudge them trying to create the 'ultra' style experience. Fair play to them. But what always gets me is how BADLY they do things. Shocking art, cheap looking, terrible fonts. ( https://louieblogdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/fortress.jpg ) That banner actually looked reasonable, along with the right message.

“On Saturday 23 October police received a report of an offensive banner displayed by Crystal Palace fans. Officers are assessing the information and carrying out enquiries. Any allegations of racist abuse will be taken very seriously.”

Pathetic. I'm with the Palace lot on this one.

I don’t think being Saudi Arabian can be described as a ‘race’, the same as being English is not.

If someone complains about it, I guess the have to look in to it, even if it’s just to dismiss it.
Let’s test out the local police by doing the same down here.:D

I assume our supporters clubs have some kind of relationship (REMF). Is it unthinkable that we could borrow it?

I’d imagine any banner of size brought into the ground would require the express consent of the club before it being allowed.

Don’t know how you bring in something that size undetected
