all the kids back to school :clap2:  :clap2:

Damn! Guess that means the roads will be clogged with loads of women driving 4x4s which they are unable to park.

The ability to move freely is noticably easier when school's out.

Just paid my £170 road tax which allows me to drive les enfants to school tomorrow.

Course,I could have paid £140 for their school bus,but I'd have been doing that again next half term. And the one after that. And the next....etc.

So my highly parkable Peugeot 205 will be back on the school run,as it has every right to be.

And bad cess on those drivers who cannot hack the roads, and who constantly whinge at those doing their best for their kids.

Get a night job.

Or the environment,perhaps.

We live in a village with a roundtrip of 5.9 miles.Parents amongst you may realise what that means in terms of free buses.

Walking would take perhaps 50 mins along roads which would horrify the school run whingers.

Think I'll drive more slowly to wind up some more sad sacks!

If you cannot face the traffic, stay safe indoors.

I can understand why people don't have a choice about driving their kids to school. My daughter starts senior school tomorrow and due to religious prejudice (we are not catholic) she was turned down from attending a school 100 yards from our front door and therefore has to go to a school three miles away.

Therefore I will take her three quaters of the way by car on the way to work.

What annoys me is the lazy parents who have to drop their poor son or daughter right at the school gates when there are perfectly good places to drop off five minutes away from the school which would cause much less conjestion.

Except for those ankle biters who are under 4 years old, of course

Oh schmidt!

Damned college run; all those herbed up cyclists in ragged clothing clogging up our highways.

96% of em with A levels and nothing useful to do except sup ale in college bars, practice biological multiplication, and listen to less than 60's music in run down gaffs.

Next they're on the dole with their first class honours degrees in flower arranging or aromatherapy wacking on about having huge debts they cannot repay, and looking back longingly at that gap year in Oz.

College starts next week. Thanks for the reminder!

In your case I can understand you driving your children at least part of the way to school. However I am sure even you will agree that there is a large amount of people out there whos children could walk to school but the parents choose to drive them incase little Johnny gets tired on the way home, or forgets his green cross code when crossing the road.
