Sky billed Van Gerwen vs Hankey as the Match Of The Night. The Dutchman wins 5-0 in mysterious circumstances, Hankey played like a bloke who'd just lumped £100k on himself to lose by a whitewash. Kept rubbing his left eyes, looked like he was pissed, his average was 59.

Sky then wrap up the night by not even mentioning what just happened. Something definitely not right about this.

I think that first leg is probably the worst leg of professional darts I have ever seen (including the Martin Adams one above).

To be fair,and I watched it, Van Gerwen was shocking first couple of legs too. I honestly thought Hankey was just playing mind games with his eyes to try and unsettle him and it failed spectacularly. It never crossed my mind he was pissed. I just thought it was an epic fail.
