Unpopular choice but I’d love to see Millwall in the premier league. Would be chaos, and the Den is a proper away day

Same here, would be hilarious seeing all the Premier League plastics and day trippers encountering a Millwall crowd!

Last season was the first time since 1997/98 that all 3 promoted clubs went straight back down to the Championship.
There is obviously a gap, but it CAN be bridged by well-run clubs and wise recruitment.
I’m going to trust your stats there, but that genuinely surprises me.

Am I right in thinking that the last time all 3 clubs survived was when we got promoted with Newcastle and Huddersfield?

You don't think ticking off a new ground is a valid reason? There are a lot of people looking to do the 92

Having spent two weekends around Middlesbrough this year, I'd point out that the countryside around there is spectacular. It's possibly the best ground in the country for a walking weekend
I'd probably suggest you can get much the same countryside going to Newcastle or (staying on topic) Sunderland if you go up to Teesdale or Weardale etc. But then I'm massively anti-social and prefer countryside with the absolute bare minimum of people in it.

I also think that such a walking holiday would be significantly improved by not going to a football match in Middlesbrough in the middle of it. Or indeed, not going to Middlesbrough at all.

But you're right, it is lovely around there.

Yep

Given how commercially focused the premier League is now it would be funny to have Millwall there even for a year

Bristol City. Have a reasonable ex big club claim, a ground with PL capacity, and, far more importantly, would be close for me. Last visit was the Sidwell wonder goal.

Then Cardiff or Swansea or Plymouth. Bristol Rovers and Exeter would be brilliant but probably wouldn’t get a ticket.
Not after the dickish behaviour of some of their fans in Cardiff. I had a small encounter with one potato-head myself.

For me, AFC Wimbledon, Wrexham and Hartlepool.

I spent the luchtime before FU1 in the park tavern with some monkey hangers. The way their eyes glazed over when discussing their Greatest Day (at the time, a fourth round replay against someone like Ipswich in the FA cup) was heart-melting. I'd love to see them in the EPL. Even if it is a bit Brexitty and Reformy up there.

Actually scrub that. Wombledon, Wrexham and Forest Green Rovers.

Norwich. One of my favourite places especially for a weekend away, plus they’re a nice club and I still have a fondness for Duffy.

Ditto. In the outside bars near Cardiff train station post match in the sunshine, I spotted some 50 year old bad losers moving to attack unaware Albion families from behind.

Looking at the championship table i'm quite excited by the prospect of an away day to Sunderland next season, if they can get up. Proper club (IMHO), huge stadium and loud fans are all reasons i'd like to see them go up. Would love someone like Plymouth to go up. I've always had a great time when I've been to watch football there and visit.

So, who'd you like to see promoted and why?
Can’t think of any worse than going to the far north of the country, as far as I am concerned Sunderland, Boro , Leeds can stay in the Championship,

We need proper clubs like Leeds, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke replacing noddy clubs like Brentford, Bournemouth, Ipswich and Brighton.
It can’t be a premier league until

The Wanderers
Old Etonians
Royal Engineers

are included.

Not these nothing teams like Stoke and Leeds….

Contentious - do you have any examples of where this has actually occurred?
