It was, believe it or not, Forest last season with a mere 32 points.

(6 points clear of Luton in 18th)
Luton only getting 7 points from their last 17 was criminal last season. 14 from 17 would've kept them up and that is still comfortably below the usually needed ppg to stay up.

Has to be. We're on the same points after 28 games as we were in 22-23, but Southampton, Leicester and Leeds were nowhere near as crap that season as Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich are this year. This is likely to be a record low points total for 18th-20th, which is a sad indictment of the growing gap between the divisions. The days of needing 40 to be safe are long gone.
