That's 2 unauthorised threads today. It's always AmexRuislip for the highlights and Acker79 for the can't catch us thread.

And until his form drops significantly, it's Dick Head for the OMT. This is all quite straightforward!

We have now done the double over 4 teams, Fulham, Wednesday, Burton, and now, Barnsley. Only one team can do the double over us, Newcastle.

I'll take that.

How many more games before Newcastle can’t catch us?

At the moment, we need 41points . Since we only have 42 more possible points three of them will come v newcastle (reducing their max to 108), and 41 is an impossible total. So 14 games.

Updated table:

Team pts … (Mx Pts)
1 Brighton 68 … ( 110 )
2 Newcastle 66 … ( 111 )
------------------------------------------
3 Huddersfield 61 … ( 106 )
4 Reading 60 … ( 102 )
5 Leeds 58 … ( 97 )
6 Sheff Wed 58 … ( 100 )
------------------------------------------
7 Norwich 51 … ( 90 )
8 Fulham 49 … ( 94 )
9 Barnsley 49 … ( 88 )
10 Preston 49 … ( 88 )
11 Derby 47 … ( 92 )
12 Cardiff 45 … ( 84 )
13 Ipswich 41 … ( 80 )
14 Birmingham 40 … ( 79 )
15 Brentford 37 … ( 82 )
16 QPR 37 … ( 79 )
17 Aston Villa 36 … ( 81 )
18 Nottm Forest 36 … ( 75 )
19 Wolves 35 … ( 80 )
20 Burton Albion 34 … ( 76 )
21 Bristol City 32 … ( 77 )
------------------------------------------
22 Wigan 30 … ( 72 )
23 Blackburn 29 … ( 74 )
24 Rotherham 17 … ( 56 )

Unfortunately, the play offs are now out of reach for Rotherham. 7th is still on for them...

I don't post much, but I do lurk occasionally. Often popping in for 10 minutes to see if there are any notable rumours/news etc. I will try to work on this today.

Tremendous to see that NSC has managed to prise you out of posting semi-retirement to maintain a safe pair of hands for this most crucial of threads

I will probably only be able to update this at a weekends, evenings are full of distractions for me. I may try to update midweek if there's a significant change, but no promises.

It's clear we're not getting promoted without your input on this thread.

But you do what you feel you must!

Amazing to see that in two more games, there could be 7? more teams that can't overhaul us.

If we at least draw on Tuesday, then Blackburn, Bristol and Burton would have to beat us on goal difference, And if we win, Nottingham forest would need to do that too. That's a huge chance for Brighton to outpace FOUR teams. Making us a quarter of the way there....
