In that case, so you think you could write them in an orange font to reflect this and satisfy my OCD?

I'm sure if Gary was still in charge of the Brum then they would still be pushing for playoffs, shows how important good owners are who can see the sense of sticking with good managers!

Now that we're past the 'can't be relegated' stage there's not much to see until the 7th placed team can't catch us. The way we're going this should be early April.

Brighton factually.....
The guarantee of promotion at this point in the day is 8 wins and that includes our healthy goal difference so actually 8 wins and a draw from 9.

For the first time since we were founded as a club :)

Is there a list somewhere of teams we have never finished above? I'm sure there is!

Off-hand, I can think only of: Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs (maybe?). Are these right? - I'm only going on living/recent memory. Anyone else?

Was thinking maybe Everton, but we finished 3 places above them in Division 1 season 79/80 They were 19th, we were 16th (and one place above Man City!). Looking at the table from that season, only 11 of the 22 teams are still in the top tier now.

Yep, you're right, just them. In fact, although we've never finished above Spurs in the league proper, we did finish above them when we were both in the Southern League

City came down with us as well in 1983. Then came back up a few years, with Oxford United! Football's bizarre really.
