Your stupidity is only my problem because you want to show it to the world.

You say your opinion that he isn't a very good goalkeeper is based on your opinion that he isn't a very good goalkeeper. I say that's the most moronic thing I've ever heard.

That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. You've twisted my words and made your own inferences for effect. I find that quite moronic, but there you go.

You inferred that from my comment, I didn't say that. I haven't written off anyone, and haven't said so either. I have no bitterness about Michel's release, it had to happen eventually. All I am saying is that we've signed 2 goalkeepers to replace him, and neither of them are as good as he was. That's an opinion, it may change over time. I've not made up my mind, but I have the capacity to remember that these players had career before joining us.

Sorry, on the one hand you say that Ankergren and Brezovan are not as good as Kuipers was and on the other hand you say that you have not made your mind up. Am I the only one who finds those statements slightly contradictory.

I honestly cannot believe I am having this conversation to be honest. We have played one game and won away to last season's play off finalists and some people still feel the need to slag off players. We could at least wait until after our first defeat for this.

Yes, Roberts was. For one season. Michel has been our #1 for the majority of the decade. Maybe Roberts would have forced Michel out if he'd stayed fit, but he didn't, and Michel played the next season, and every season since. We had our best finish, 7th, when Michel played every minute of every game. That was no accident or coincidance.
I don't need you to try and tell me what happened to him at Swindon. He broke his arm in 2007. You're telling me it took him 3 years to regain full fitness?

So why, then, was Ankergren released? If he was so good, why did Higgs finish the season in their goal, and was retained with Ankergren being released? No, what I said was that we don't have the option. In the past when the other goalkeepers we brought in, Michel always won his place back. The time will come that Ankergren will need replacing, but we have a goalkeeper of equal/less ability to replace him.

Your knowledge on BHA is very limited. Best season 7th? Are you wiping the championship years from our memory. Id give up. Having read alot of your posts you know very little about football.

Nah, I haven't. If you think that it's because you don't even understand the things you say.

Compared to... you? Who? Tell me.

My opinions are pretty clear about the current goalkeepers. Let's wait and see how the season pans out before people tell me I'm wrong about them. It's so easy to sit there and dismiss, because it's all in theory. There is plenty of football to be played yet.

f***ing HELL.

You can barely give your opinion on this f***ing SHIT forum anymore without getting blazed for it.

If you don't agree with someone, DISCUSS it! No need to call them 'brainless idiots' or 'morons' for goodness sake. Politeness is something I suppose many of you haven't yet discovered.

Is it just me that has noticed that unless your opinion is of the majority, you are almost 'ganged up' upon, not too different to a primary schools playground 'fight'?

I disagree with almost EVERYTHING Badger and Elephant have said in this thread. Some of the comments are embarrasing.

First of all we've had the argument about Crofts loads of times, but just as a final point, the fact that he is now playing in the Championship under an excellent manager, at a big club, receiving rave reviews, got a goal and an assist in his first game, was our, the fans, player of the season and Gus' captain last season, who never had anything but praise for him. I would have thought in light of all that you may realise you were wrong in your assessment after the first two games of last season, but never mind.

Moving on, as far as Ankergren is concerned, I'm not sure how anyone can slag him off yet. He is what we have been crying out for. An experienced goalkeeper with previous promotions playing consistently for a top six/ two side. We now have two excellent goalkeepers for this level.

The reason I don't like Ankergren is because he's not a very good goalkeeper. And neither is Brezovan, or Poke. We have 3 average at best goalkeepers, plus a very good young prospect in Mitch Walker. The signing of Ankergren just added a number, it didn't add anything to our squad. He's better than Poke, who looks a pointless signing. But a 2 year contract? We're now lumbered with him. If Poyet wanted another goalkeeper, I would rather he brought one in on loan, or on a shorter term deal. Pretty simple really.

I'm sorry to have to bump this up so quickly, but I got very flamed for daring to doubt the brilliance of a goalkeeper we signed from LEEDS, but after his moment today, I think it's relevant to remind people that I wasn't blinded by Ankergren's previous club.
