Yeh, to me this comes down "are we looking to reduce our weaknesses?" as the previous poster was saying or are we looking to "expose their weaknesses" as you're getting it.

Arsenal won't fancy defending too many set pieces against Dunk, Duffy and Burn. Equally though, they will fancy regaining possession through a high press.

It's a tough call

We'll still have Dunk as a target from corners & free kicks.

I think what we would undoubtedly gain in attacking threat from set pieces would be outweighed by a reduction in attacking threat thanks to our building up from the back being disrupted and more chances conceded because he's less able to deal with the diddy speed-merchants.

All ifs, buts, maybes and opinions of course, but I'd be more confident without Duffy at CB (for this game)

He'll probably start and score a brace now, so thank me in advance! :lolol:

Something like that if Bissouma can’t play, can’t see Lamptey starting for a while yet.

Groß is a definite for me if fully fit.

Who is taking our corner(s)?

Trossard. Like he did against Leicester where we won a penalty from one of his corners and scored a header from his free kick from out wide.

We don't need Gross to take the set pieces and personally I see no place for him without Bissouma playing. Gross and Lallana in the middle just didn't work at all.

That would be the team I'd pick, but Potter will undoubtedly play Gross somewhere. (Hopefully not right back again or CM with Lallana).

Maybe Lallana will drop to the bench and Moder play with Gross in the middle.

Lamptey could have a part to play - maybe replacing Veltman on the hour. BDB is still coming back from injury, so if he starts to tire, either go to a flat back four and bring on Alzate or Richards further up the field - or the wild-card option, give Roberts 20 minutes.

I can't think of one reason (barring injury) why Veltman should make way for Lamptey. Good as Tariq is he should be nursed back. Veltman has been excellent since we got him

Bringing on Lamptey for Veltman for 20 or 30 minutes is exactly what nursing Lamptey back involves!

Thumbs up from me.

Always excited to see Mac Allister play. He moves the ball around so quickly, much like Lallana, with his one-touch football. Can pick a good pass, score a goal, etc.

And I think Veltman is our best option for RWB while Lamptey gets eased in (although it would be great if March proved me wrong, by replicating what he's capable of on the left).

Our big problem against Palace was that we had no one to carry the ball up the pitch. Gross and Lallana were mainly static, Cucurella didn't have his best attacking game, and Veltman's brief was to keep Zaha quiet. If Bissouma is injured I would risk Lamptey or play March on the right to give us impetus pressing forward. If Bissouma is fit then maybe not.
