As for your continued defence of Hammond even when he has poor games, which he has done fairly often this season, .........

Has he?

By whose standards?

Has he had a few quiet game by his own high standards? Yes
Has he had any 'poor games' by the standard of an central midfielder in a mid-table League 1 team? Absolutely not.

Just listen to other teams managers, players and fans, or to neutral media reports. Hammond is criminally under-rated by the Albion fans. A lot of people will only realise what a good player he is, when their lack of support for him has contributed to his departure, followed by his continued matchwinning performances either against us, or in a higher division.

Thanks. If a defensive midfielder has a game where you barely notice him then he's probably put in a competent performance.

And what's more, the CLOWNS that don't think George should come straight back in should remember that he is yet to lose in an Albion shirt.

(Although he tried his best to change that last time out :jester: )

It's funny that all ex players/pundits really rate Hammond and many of the current squad rate him as the best player at the club.

But hey the fans know best :rolleyes:

Spot on. The same sort of ignorant idiots that slagged off Owen Hargreaves for years
