true - but by the same token forsters best contributions have been with bas alongside him - southend, and obviously his little golden patch lately

while forster does look fitter now, i dont think its any coincidence that he looks a better player alongside savage, who can make things happen. and lets face it, neither him nor revell are 20 goal a season men, so surely it makes sense to play the one who brings the best out of the man who can be the goal scorer?

I'm not really disagreeing - just making a point, that he's produced more from the bench.

Also we haven't seen a fully fit Forster alongside Revell yet either. I think its worth a shot.

I am really starting to look forward to the game on Saturday, despite having been to Swindon two weeks ago and in the knowledge that it is going to be absolutely freezing, I reckon we can get a result there.

Looking at the next six fixtures, I'm confident we can get a result in all of them. 15 points minimum

Highs of 4 celsius with the wind chill bringing it down to -2. Wrap up warm!

Kuipers

Whing Lynch El-Abd Richards

Robinson Hammond Fraser Cox

Savage Forster

Therefore and unchanged team. I can't see him dropping Fraser (although I would like him to) after his performances in the games while O'Callaghan was out, and whilst the Savage/Revell debate is a tight call I still think Savage has more to offer at the moment.

Bench:
Sullivan
Reid
Revell
O'Callaghan
Butters

Sadly Martot misses out.

If games in the reserves count for anything then Martot should play. A goal and two assists this evening.

There's me thinking you didn't like Robinson - yet you've named him in the team AND on the bench!

I have always said that if you're going to play Revell, you may as well just go to a local gym and find a man with not an ounce of talent but bags of running in him. It would be LOADS cheaper. As for Bas, the mercurial genius, well he's a bit off form at the moment - probably because of his contract situation - but he's still in a different world to Revell. Play Forster and Bas, release Revell, keep Elder as back-up, and sign a new striker in January to put pressure on Bas.

My team would be:

Michel (captain)

Whing El Abd Lynch Richards

Robinson O'Callaghan Fraser Martot

Forster Bas

Subs:
Sullivan
Butters
Hammond
Cox
Elder

Wilkins has said he is not naming a goalkeeper sub so you will be wrong. Please keep up at ther back.

I have not seen anybody able to put up a good case, including Wilkins, for not naming a goalkeeper sub as yet.

It would be interesting to see in next weeks Sunday papers how many clubs do not name a keeper as a sub, even in the depths of the the clubs that are skint in Div 2. Or perhaps somebody has still got last weeks and can complete the search to provide the answer.

He dances a mean boogie in a dodgem - him and Nathan were just burning up the bitches in the fairground.

That was good but the exhibition dancing to Billie Jean on the dance floor was sublime.
Dick Knight and Wilkins were amongst the fans admiring his moves.

release Revell, keep Elder as back-up,

MADNESS.

Elder has shown NOTHING. Seriously - nothing - to convince me he is capable at this level. Revell has had a long run of games last year where he looked pretty good, and put in some quality performances [Swansea at home for example] that are WAY beyond Elder.

And as for leaving Hammond out, I think you just generally don't have a clue.
