Not sure if Webster is fit or not, would put him in for Duffy if so, might be tempted to use Bernardo instead of BDB also - I'm on the fence with that one

Doubt it. Very few teams start with two "proper" strikers against weaker teams these days.

The upside to having two strikers is that you can beat a stronger or equal team with it, since even if you have a defensive minded midfield or you are getting pressured, theres ALWAYS a chance that your two strikers could combine and score a goal.

Against weaker opponents, playing two strikers generally means too many disadvantages: more difficult to keep or win back possession if you have two players "locked" in the box and your midfield needs to be more careful as you dont have the extra player to cover spaces if i.e. your right winger and right back are attacking together or if a CM sees an opportunity to make a dirty Lampardian run (maybe dont matter much though as every Brighton midfielder get a panic attack anywhere near the opponent penalty area).

I think Maupay will start with Trossard on the left and Gross on the right. If a goal is needed in the last half hour or so I could see a swap to two strikers (Murray if dominating, Connolly if the game is more even).

I don't understand your logic. If we start with one striker they will either be small (Maupay, Connolly) or slow (Murray). One striker will be up against two central defenders, so almost always odds against creating a chance. Furthermore, if you have one striker then you need midfielders to get in and around them. You are relying on pace there which we don't have in our midfield, which is why Potter started Lamptey there vs Man Utd and it cost us big-time in defence where Montoya had a mare.

Two strikers with good movement will drag defenders around and create space for the likes of MacAllister, Mooy and Bissouma to exploit. Both Maupay and Connolly work very hard for the team.

But apart from anything else, we need to show INTENT. Our biggest failing this season has been coming out of the blocks too slow on too many occasions.

I like the shape of this team but would play Connolly instead of Trossard. I think Connolly and Maupay work well together and Trossard always looks so much better coming of the bench. The width would mostly come from the full backs in this formation so I'd be tempted to play Bernardo instead of Burn too. Although he's not played a minute since the restart so that seems unlikely. It would give us pace allover the pitch though.

I would definitely go for Connolly and Maupay , thought Connolly has looked good and we need him to play and developed. Maybe have Trossard on for him at some stage. Don't think Trossard can do a full game.

Exactly how I see it, two strikers gives their defence something to think about and can bring our midfield into attack.
