After feeling relaxed about our fear of relegation I've now woken up grumpy and know that my mood won't improve after Bournemouth take 3 points from Newcastle tonight.
At least we only have to wait until Saturday to get back to playing again.

Ryan

Lamptey - Webster - Dunk - Burn

Bissouma - Propper - Mooy

MacAllister

Maupay - Trossard

West Ham, Villa and BMuff all still have to play United, and on last nights performance, I can't see any of them taking points from them, so all to play for still.

We all have a tough run in but we do have a cushion of 6 points.

Haven't you heard, Bournemouth are going to win all their remaining 7 games.

I must have missed that.
Sorry :)

Even then,we are still safe as long as we beat City and Liverpool !

Which is about as likely.

Eddie said so, the other day.

In fairness if they do, he'll have earned the rite to be called Smug Eddie.

Ryan (although goals keep going past him rather easily at the moment)

Lamptey Duffy Dunk Bernardo

Alzate Bissouma

Gross Mac Allister Trossard

Maupay

My thinking:

So far, Ally Mac has started against two of the better teams in the league. Let's see how he does against the worst.

There's no sense in protecting Alzate indefinitely and ending up relegated. Let him play.

The Dan Burn at left back experiment has run its course. Time for an end to square pegs in round holes.

No doubt starting with Trossard will prove a mistake but nobody else really staked a claim yesterday.

If Gross doesn't start, we don't win. True for every victory but one this season.

Can anyone explain why Bernardo took Dunks place and not Burn. Appreciate Potter likes Burn because he can head away corners and is an outlet for Ryans kicks but surely with Bernardo on field he is better at going forward

It was one of the most fascinating events of yesterday and makes me believe that Bernardo is an option for CB against Norwich. So why him and not Burn? Well - I expect possession to be very large for Brighton and with Bernardo centrally together with Dunk you get two defenders capable of playing out from the back. Bernardo also got the qualities to just carry the ball through the first line of pressure - something Dan Burn wouldnt be able to.

Bernardo is also quick. One of the reasons he plays Webster and not Duffy is due to pace, whereas both Dunk and Duffy are slow, Burn not much better. We'll need pace, because Norwich have some out-wide and up-top.

Can't drop Wade after those 4 goals. What does the man have to do? Potter out if he drops Wade. Until Saturday comes.......

Don't much care who starts, just so long as Potter does his homework IN ADVANCE of the game and sends out his best eleven, rather than just chuck out a tentative draft team in the first half with a view to making adjustments for the better in the second half. Might well be playing catch-up - again! - by then

Wade wasn't a full back do doesn't fit into our brave new world.

Burn did okish at LB and the attacks were coming down the wings from manu. Bernado 1st game back and I suppose Potter didn't want too much disruption to the setup is my guess.

We know Potter can be hard to second guess, but what lineup would you like to see against Norwich?

Not sure if Webster is fit or not, would put him in for Duffy if so, might be tempted to use Bernardo instead of BDB also - I'm on the fence with that one

.......................... Ryan ....................

Lamptey .... Duffy .... Dunk .... Burn

.......... Bissouma ...... Propper .........

Trossard ......... Mooy ... Mac Allister

...................... Maupay ...................

For this game I would like to think that Potter would put out the strongest team available

Whilst I like your team selection, I disagree with your principle if by extension, it means we should go for a draw and be happy with a point.

Norwich is down, whether they take 3 points from us or not.

They’ll still be going for all 3 points and we should do too, it’s essential that we see good attacking intent rather than a battling but ultimately stifling type display that got us draws at Wolves and Sheff Utd. More of the same we saw at Watford away with those brilliantly attacking substitutions please.

A win would almost certainly see us safe, this is our easiest fixture remaining IMHO - let’s go for it!

I think you misunderstand me a little? This is our best chance of win till the end of the season but its a game we really don't want to lose. I want to see the gap stay at least as big as it is now because if the others go on like they are 6 points will be insurmountable soon..

a galaxy far far away
---------------Ryan
Montoya Duffy Dunk Burn
Propper Bissouma Mooy
------Gross MacAllister
-----------Maupay

Need to get back to controlling possession more, so picked our best fit passers in each position. Tough to drop Lamptey and Connolly, but in the new world of 5 subs, they would both get on, as will Trossard
