I am actually anticipating a few changes on Wednesday night, for a freshen up and to manage the squad’s minutes.

Something like this is possible;

Steele
Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Colwill
Ayari, Caicedo
Buonanotte Mac Enciso
Undav

On the working basis that Welbeck and Ferguson are both injured and Steele is fully fit. Minutes for Gilmour and possibly Moran.

Not for me. Need a strong squad and I’d not be surprised if it is unchanged (where possible) from Sunday. Give the players a chance to get it out their minds and a couple of goals and assists from Solly will make him feel much better with many renditions of “Solly, Solly Maaaaaaaaarch”

This isn’t a cup game. We still have an outside chance of CL and a strong chance of Europe. That means winning every game possible and fielding the strongest XI.

What happened to Pervis
In my view he is one of several players who are going to be required to play a huge number of games in a very short period of time. He can’t possibly play every single game, so I am sure RDZ is looking at how many changes he can make to keep players fresh without upsetting the flow of the team too much.

No time for rotation now, full strength squad every game if players are fit and ready.
This, and even if we do want to rotate, Forest away when the players will be desperate to put in a good performance after the disappointment of Sunday is not the game to do it in.

So a reminder, we played Sunday, then we play Wednesday, then Saturday, then Thursday, then Monday.

This works out as 5 games (including one lasting around 130 minutes plus penalties) in 15 days.

If we don’t rotate Wednesday, then when?

I’m sure I read somewhere that RDZ wants (I guess if possible) to play the same side as Wembley
He said along the lines of “I want to see the same side” (as in the game at Wembley). I took it to mean in terms of performance level and mentality, not necessarily personnel.

I can barely cope with today, let alone mapping out the future.

I’d be surprised if March plays - I think he was playing through the pain after that ankle injury. Might be a chance for Buonanotte.

Assuming Welbeck and Ferguson are both injured, I would go with:

———————Steele
Veltman - Webster - Dunk - Estupinan
————-Gross - Caicedo
—Buonanotte - Mac Allister - Mitoma
———————Enciso
