If March or Lamptey is out, I think Alzate will definitely start, probably as wing back. Though I think Alzate not starting after going to Columbia could have some non-tactical reason behind it - perhaps some minor but persisting injury issue.

Also expect Burn to start (somewhere), their side is pretty physical and BDB is fairly good at dealing with that.

Its really difficult to predict though. The only thing we can know for certai... actually skip that. I was going to say that "Webster will be playing" but who the **** am I to make a brave statement like that.

Aahh...I didn't realise it was a complete team sheet, thought it might have been across the years...excuse my interference

I've no idea whay I thought of that side in particular, I guess as Liverpool were god then and are good now, yest we matched them, for goals at least!

If anythings a certainty it'll be Stephens letting rip one of his 25 yard corner flag burners . . . and it nestling in the top corner after deflecting off Woods left lug hole.

I want White back in defence so that we can be put Alzate back in midfield. So...

Ryan

Lamptey
Veltman
Webster
White

March
Bissouma
Lallana
Alzate

Welbeck
Trossard

Subs;
Sanchez
Burn
Propper/ Gross
Maupay
MacAllister
Zequiri
Connolly

I think if Lamptey continues to play in the back four the poor guy will be burnt out by Xmas. He can still do his darting runs from midfield he just needs to get service to do it.

We had 4 big centre halves attacking corners last night and still can't score from them.

I don't know what your point is here although to clarify my position, ability in the air is a factor that we need to take into account in terms of defending against Burnley, which is there in open play but all the more important in terms of defending set pieces (which is where a significant % of their goals come from).

Agree.

But, and hear me out, do we need him darting the full length of the wing. After all, there's no bugger in the middle when he gets there anyhow. I'd rather see him cutting in before he gets to the dead ball line and attacking the box more.

At the moment, Lamptey is too fast for the rest of our squad / we have no front men there for him to serve when he arrives.

Lamptey--Alzate --Bissouma-March
Lallana
Welbeck --- Maupay

Tempted to recall Ryan, not because Sanchez did anything wrong particularly but he will be put under physical pressure. White edges Veltman because of the physical threat which meant keeping Webster/Burn insitu rather than dropping one for Veltman. Maupay hopefully fresh after his er rest at the weekend,
