I do not know but as there are no trains from Haywards Heath I would suggest not. Is it not the whole line from Brighton to Three Bridges which would include the line the Lewes train goes on to HH.

You are correct, I forgot about that. This is from the Albion site:

Buses and trains to the Amex Stadium from the city centre, Lewes and along the south coast are running to an amended timetable. There is car parking available near the stadium and in the city centre. The changes to rail services are as follows:

• Southern Rail trains between London Victoria and Brighton are diverted via Littlehampton and will not call at Balcombe, Haywards Heath, Wivelsfield, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Preston Park.

• Trains from London Victoria will call additionally at Crawley, Horsham, Littlehampton, Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Portslade and Hove.

• First Capital Connect trains from Bedford via Cannon Street and London Bridge will terminate at Three Bridges.

• Trains between London Victoria and Eastbourne via Lewes will run between London Victoria and Three Bridges, with buses replacing trains for the remainder of the journey.

• Trains will run between Wivelsfield and Brighton calling at all stations.

If supporters are travelling to the Amex from north of Three Bridges train station the club recommends that you use the Victoria to Brighton trains, via Littlehampton, and allow an extra hour for your journey.

Any supporters using train stations south of Haywards Heath will still be able to use the train to Brighton and on to Falmer Station.

These essential engineering works will add roughly an hour to your rail journey times, whether you use the diverted Victoria service or change at Three Bridges to use the bus services.

Please note that there is near-site parking available which can be purchased by contacting the club’s customer services team on 0845 873 0251 or you could also use one of the free park-and-ride sites at Mill Road, Mithras House and Brighton Racecourse.

That sounds great. What time would you want us at Three Bridges station? I'll then check trains times and PM you if it works. Me and my 16 year old son.

You need to be at Three Bridges around 12.30 as i need to get a parking space in Brighton.

That might be a struggle. I'll PM you if we can do it.

Very kind offer either way-much appreciated.

What time is the earliest you can be here? You have to remember that every bugger will be driving due to train issues and there will be very limited places to park

Park and ride is not free! We have all paid for the service through the travel surcharge! Which I don't mind and would like to point out!

Running as normal, additional trains from Eastbourne though, as the London services are being diverted to Brighton - so its good news here !!

RE the Brighton - Wivelsfield shuttle - looks like its just an hourly service, so that would get pretty busy. Should probably add that the works have been planned by Network Rail for months, just very very unfortunate that theres a match at the Amex on this day, especially against a team from London !!

Rather than 3 bridges, I've always found it easier (& cheaper) to pre-book a car from gatwick. A lot of brighton/peace haven firms offer a cheapish rate to come and pick you up. Also, saves the mess that is 3 bridges on engineering work days.

These essential engineering works

I wonder how 'essential' they are? That essential that they can't be put off to another weekend when 4,000 Arsenal fans - as well as Albion supporters - won't be trying to get to Falmer?

Looking at nationalrail.co.uk it seems that trains are running from Wivlesfield to Falmer via Lewes and also via Brighton with it showing no service disruptions.

I travel down from north of London, usually by train on first capital connect. This weekend I intend to drive to lewes instead and catch the train from there. What is parking like at lewes station on Saturdays?
