According to several papers Mr Jordon is going to sell Palace as he's not happy that he only got £750,000 for John Bostock.

Wonder how much he'll get ? Does he now own the freehold at Selhurst ?

Will we miss him ?

It this just another attention seeking rant from the Championship's rentagob ?

Nice quote from Tangoman in the Mirror today that I'd not seen before:

'Even if I built a 50,000-seater stadium and bought Ronaldinho, there'd still be complaints about crap hotdogs'

Might change his mind when he's collected up all his toys and found his dummy though.

and why shouldn't there be?

:(:(

If a part of your product is crap then the overall quality is reduced and you should be doing something to improve it not taking the piss out of your paying customers

i doubt he'll sell, think he's just trying to get a bit of attention to be honest, fair enough though, can understand why he's pissed off

i WOULD miss him, and basically if he wasn't palace chairman everyone on here would like him. Yes, he likes a bit of a RANT and a bit of attention, but he's generally right about stuff.

He;s a palace FAN with a shit load of money, we'd LOVE to have a brighton equivalent in charge

There was a nice comment in The Times yesterday I think...

"Simon Jordan, who likes the sound of his voice more than anything, other than catching sight of his reflection in a mirror..." :D

I do agree with him over that palyer. The fee they got was bollox. Walcott going for 5million and that cardiff guy foir the same. They should have got at least 1.5million

lets not start felling sorry for him. when he was offered alot more back in the winter he turned it down, saying he was worth more. not "i dont want to sell a great prospect". if he wants to take his bat home, thats up to him, he should have secured the player on a better contract to avoid these foreseeable events.

I could see Jordan selling his stake in Palace. In fact, if I was his accountant I'd BEGGING him to sell.

He's a successful businessman and if he feels he's investing time and resources in assets that he's not getting a return on, like Bostock, then sooner or later he'll cut and run. Similar factor led to Alan Sugar selling up.

It wasn't so long ago Palace were in the Prem. They're not a bad side and still a reasonable investment proposition with a large catchment area. I'd sell now before they start to be institutionalised in the Championship like Cov, QPR and Ipswich.

SJ has been looking to sell for a couple of years now, i think the Bostock debacle has put the final nail in the coffin. He has put £39m of his own dough into CPFC and say what you like about him he has always put his money where his mouth is and like it or not you agree with 99.9% of what he says when he is on a rant. I personally will miss the bloke, yes he is outspoken, his barnet needs a chop and he should lay off the sunbeds for a bit, but he bleeds red and blue and he has always fought Palace's corner, sometimes too vigorously but he is a fan first and chairman second. Bless you Simon, football will be poorer without you IMO.

He won't quit.

Running a car phone company or whatever he did before Palace, doesn't get your face in the papers, as nobody cares about ordinary businessmen.

Palace might not be everyone's cup of tea, but football is news, and there's nothing Jordan thrives on more than having his name in the headlines.

Being deprived of the oxygen of publicity would kill him. He just wants Palace fans to beg him to stay, and to get on the news again, hence this empty threat.

This must be some sort of NSC record. There IS no 50,000-seater stadium, they HAVEN'T bought Ronaldinho, AND you're not even a Palarse fan!

And STILL you moan about the hotdogs

I don't know about that really Edna, i think he genuinely has had enough and the Bostock farce has made his mind up for him. He has actually been quoted as saying he is actively looking for a buyer this season so he can depart next summer, as i said he has ploughed £39m of his own cash into CPFC and i think he feels it is time to move on now

Are there prospective buyers around then?

Aside from the fact that he does like to be in the papers, I'm not convinced he could easily relinquish control now.

If you've been in complete charge of an organisation, especially one where there's such an emotional involvement as a football club, can you really just walk away and watch somebody else make all the decisions?

I reckon it would do his head in- after all, he is a fan, not just a faceless director.

I could see him perhaps selling up, but then coming back in a few years down the line, because he doesn't like where any new owner is taking the club.

Perhaps :lolol:

It's a bit like these losers that spend hours chucking money into the fruit machine trying win the fifty quid jackpot. I mean, if you chuck £39m into a football club, what on earth are you trying to win?
