QPR game was a cracker, bloody hell even i didnt go to the roberts game! honest question and i promise im not after a rise, did you lot not know about your players behaviour during our protests? i know it was mentioned after our last game and people were surprised, i had also heard a rumour your players that season had wound up crewe during a minutes silence? f*** knows if that had any grain of truth in it.

Yeah the QPR game was outstanding, I was really suprised by Paynter. I was expecting Cox to be good, but Paynter was fantastic. As was Casal actually, I'm suprised he was bombed out of the team so quickly. The Roberts game was fantastic, Zola hattrick, outstanding.

This was our game in December 2007 yes? My friend told me that some of the Brighton players made gestures to some fans, she didn't really go into detail because she already hates Brighton and she didn't want to dwell on that hatred! As for the minute silence, I think you're probably referring to our away match at Hartlepool shortly after the death of one of their youth team players, Michael Maidens. I don't recall any problems with the silence, but when we scored a winner in added time, a few Hartlepool players were very angry with some of what our players did, Tommy Elphick especially. But I think the Hartlepool players apologised for an "overreaction" after the match, it was very emotional, etc.

Reading have a 40% sell on clause on him already & he is only 21 so he will fetch around 1.5m I think

I wasn’t aware of the 40% sell on, which blows my 750k out the water. Still can’t see him going for much more than a million mind.

£750,000?! Jesus. TO be fair to you all, you've not really seen much of him. But if you'd seen his hattricks against Hartlepool, Scunthorpe and Northampton, you'd realise the £2-4million they want for him isn't too unrealistic.

As for the 40%, that is highly unlikely, though it is the rumour circulating. I can't believe they would be so stupid to accept that clause, their chairman (Andrew Fitton) is a businessman, he wouldn't be so stupid as to accept that. Surely? ???

Was Andrew Fitton the chairman of Swindon when they bought Cox from reading and also if they wanted him badly enough they would have agreed to any sell on clause.

Yes, Fitton was the chairman at the time. He wouldn't agree to 40% though, surely not. That's stupidly high, no chairman would accept that when paying out £250,000!

To be fair if that was the only way they were going to get him they probably would have done! I would imagine its 40% on any profit.

It is completely unrealistic for a third division player.

Even Zamora who was an established England U21 player at the time only went for £1.5m.

Agree with Uncle buck. Even though Zamora was sold some years ago now, £2m + on a third division player IS a gamble. I cant see many clubs in the higher leagues willing to gamble that sort of money on a player that may be playing way above his level.

Que Bobby Zamora.

I guess it might be worth pricing him against what Southend got from Wolves for Eastwood, but I do not think that was more than 2 million and Eastwood struggled at Wolves.

I don't agree, Reading didn't really seem to want him, considering he would only be a reserve player for them, I think 40% is wildly unrealistic. As for the 40% being on the profit, that makes it an even worse deal, if you think about it...

I think if they get £2million for him that's a very good deal, with a sell on clause on top aswell.
