Swindon away tickets

I got to the clun shop about 12.30 to be told Swindon had sold out - Woo Hoo I though 1,200 tickets sold. But no just the first batch of 300 tickets. They were expecting another 300 to be delivered special delivery at 1pm. I went back at 1.05 and the tickets had arrived so got 2. They have said the match is ALL ticket with no plans for them to be sold on the day!

So why have Swindon only sent 600 out of 1,200 tickets and what will they do when many turn up on the day without tickets?? We have now sold just 302 tickets and not many days left before the game? Will they relent and make it pay on the day?

I have looked on the Swindon site and cant see it says all ticket for them. They have a special offer of tickets for £14 in the Town end, I just paid £18 but we are on the side so guess they can charge more for those.

This has been discussed to great length on here already

Same with the Wycombe game on the 28th as well.

I would expect them to turn them away. Then again, why would anyone go to an ALL TICKET game without tickets? Epsecially when, as you say, there are plenty available for sale.

Indeed. It's not as if this has been kept quiet!

News to me, and probably to quite a few others if we have only sold just over 300 so far!

Insider says it's all ticket on police advice, if its just advice, cant the clubs just ignore it. Not all advice is correct or necessary! This bollocks from the police really pisses me off, never been any problems a Swindon or Wycombe when it's not all ticket so why make things difficult now. W**nkers!

Had an outside change of going to Swindon, so not worth the risk of getting a ticket in advance. Similarly, by chance I will be in Wycombe on the day of the match at a family gathering but not sure I will be able to get to the game so again no point buying a ticket in advance and not using it!

My advice to the police is to leave us alone and f**k right off, but I don't expect they will take it!

Not quite as simple as that, if the police give advice and the clubs choose to ignore it then the police will either up the policing bill or refuse to police the match at all, therefore it won't go ahead.

Think of it as being advised to hand your notice in else you'll get sacked...

I realise that, but it still pisses me off that the w**kers can interfere in our enjoyment when there is absolutely no need for them to do so. What's next, lets ban all away fans from all games, close all pubs and insist on us all being indoors after 8pm! Give them an inch and they take a mile.

I think there has been at Swindon in recent years, hence the police requiring the game to be all ticket, don't know about Wycombe though.

I think it is a rhetorical (?) thing, when the report says "Police Advice" it is a bad use of language, it means the police have said the match must be all ticket, the club has no option but to comply.

'Tis a shame, because at the moment it looks like we will have no more than 4/500 up there, when last season or the year before we had well over 1000! If its true only 300 or so have bought tickets its a bit dissapointing.

The Fuzz even get to choose at which end the penalty shoot-outs are taken.

Don't see how making it all ticket will prevent any trouble anyway? Most of the time when lads go to places with the intention to cause trouble, they travel ticket-less & don't go to the game anyway.
