Wilmar Roldan is the ref for the England game tonight. He made an almighty VARS horlicks last year in the Confederations Cup game between Germany and Cameroon.

He initally booked the wrong player, Sebastian Siani, for a dangerous high challenge on Emre Can (the foul was committed by Ernest Mabouka).
Then he reviewed the foul on the pitchside monitor, walked back on the pitch, and changed the yellow card to a RED for Siani (so still the wrong player).
Cameroon went nuts, so he went and reviewed the incident again, came back on and finally gave the red to Mabouka.

So this could be fun tonight.

If he decided on review that it was a pen, then the goal would have been scrubbed, and the penalty awarded.

If he decided on review that his original decision was correct (ie no pen), then the goal would have stood. If it had gone out for a throw,a goal kick, whatever, the game just restarts from that point as normal. Thats my understanding.

Other than the fact that dangerous play is not a straight red card offence.
And the fact that even having reviewed it, he still initially showed the red to the wrong player.
