Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I'm guilty of using the c word a lot in here, but very rarely use in in day to day life and am always amazed at how much I cringe when I hear the word used, especially in a business context.

I will have a concerted effort to stop using it, but how else can I adequately describe Scott McGleish, Ian Holloway or Fatboy ??

You texted me the other day from the other saide of a table and said "****". :dunce:

If we use less offensive language can we call people, for example, a pussy or a fanny?

Means the same thing.

Suggest we establish first of all what swear are actually offensive to the broad spectrum of users and what words are acceptable. For my pennys worse I have constructed the following lists:

Really Naughty Swear Words (Ban):

****
piss
Archer
f***
Palace
shit
Belloti
Safeway
cock
Berkshire

Quite Offensive Swear Words (Don't Ban):

flaps
big jobbies
Selhurst
curtains
Naylor
bean
Coppell
poo
funbags
the swan
charlies
wobbly
Argus

It is quite amusing because the offensive words are replaced with something unlikely - like wingspan or as above mouses ear and then becomes humourous.

The main problem being someone really determined to swear will simply substitute a letter with a character to make the swear word appear anyway, just because they can.

Some people have to think before they type. Would many of you say C U Next Tuesday to people in the "real world"?

It doesn't offend me, but we do have to realise that there could be young kids, etc, who read this site.
