There is nastiness on all sides. It’s one of those horrible situations where biological women absolutely have a point, and transgenders want an avenue to be able to compete. But don’t be fooled, transgender communities can be incredibly hostile, just as much as TERFs, and their “cancellation campaigns” on X and the like are numerous and vicious - just like transphobes.Maybe it does - to a tiny tiny proportion and these issues can be resolved sensitively without everyone screaming at each other and further marginalising an already victimised group. I'm sick and tired of the nastiness.
Maybe time to set up some Trans Leagues ? At least in London and surrounding areas there would be demand you think. There is nastiness on all sides. I just point this out because it is a very messy situation with no clear remedy, with parallels in that sense to Israel and Palestine, and some very careful and considered reactions are required from all sides.
I am thinking it is worth at least doing a study into the feasibility of this, or a trial, whichever is easier.Maybe time to set up some Trans Leagues ? At least in London and surrounding areas there would be demand you think.
said the 6 foot goalieAt the time of her BBC interview, Hamilton had been undergoing hormone therapy for three years. 'They need to look at the science, what it actually does to your body,' she added.
'It does take away your muscle mass, your explosiveness. Your ratios from type-one to type-two fast-twitch fibres change - your body completely changes. I don't think they realise how much of a change hormone therapy makes.
'There is absolutely no advantage on the pitch.'

What about people born with both ? Or cases like the Moroccan boxerWe should probably go back to basics.
If you were born with a cock, you play for the men's teams.
If you were born with a fanny, you play for the women's team.
Sorry if that's offensive to anyone, but to me that's f***ing obvious.

And the Moroccan boxer ?This is so rare that it should be discussed in depth by experts at some kind of tribunal.
Can you name an example where this has happened, in any professional sport?
Personally sick and tired of anyone who might hold a different view to others being attacked for being out of date, of victimisation, not being open minded enough etc etc..Maybe it does - to a tiny tiny proportion and these issues can be resolved sensitively without everyone screaming at each other and further marginalising an already victimised group. If men decide to become women, then they should have every right to play for the women's teams
Matt Ryan was considered too small to be a keeper by many on here at 5’10”. Most male goalkeepers are six feet or more, at least 7 inches taller than 5’5”.Also enormous to your average UK male at 5’ 10”
I agree that it should be discussed sensitively, without screaming and nastiness. It should be possible to encourage people to do that here.
Matt Ryan is 6', and just signed for Roma apparently.Matt Ryan was considered too small to be a keeper by many on here at 5’10”. Most male goalkeepers are six feet or more, at least 7 inches taller than 5’5”.
