Looks like Lukey hasn't changed his usual game for a more cautious approach: 20 from 25 balls, four 4`s!!

In a cave
Notts (1 batting point, 3 bowling points) 182
Durham (5 bat, 3 bowl) 176
Somerset (1 bat, 3 bowl) 174
Hampshire (1 bat, 3 bowl) 164
Lancashire (1 bat, 3 bowl) 156
Kent (1 bat, 2 bowl) 154
Sussex (3 bowl) 154
Yorkshire (5 bat, 2 bowl) 154
Surrey (already relegated and not playing today) 124.

Lancashire can only gain more points with a win or draw
Kent can only gain more points with a win or draw
Yorks can get 1 more bowling point we can get 5 batting points!!

The BBC text report said we should declare if we get down to 8 wickets and risk it all on batting out the second innings to deny Yorkshire another bowling point

Sussex shouldn't declare. Kent are looking in the worst position at the moment. Kent can no longer get any mor bonus points, so the only thing they could get is a draw. If we and Yorkshire get any more bonus points, we go above Kent. I then see a tame draw being played out with Kent being relegated.

Well done Nash, you've probably kept your boys up......In all honesty, if, sorry, when we lose to Durham, we would have picked up 7 points in the final two Championship matches..........all this after having Lanky all out for 107 in their 1st innings last time out. Relegation material any day........
Kent's proud record of being the only County to be in Div 1 since the two tier game was born, will be gone......:(

Bugger.

If Kent draw or win SUssex are down, if Kent lose Sussex are safe

If Sussex get to 200 and a bonus point and then Kent and Sussex draw then Kent get relegated by 1 point.

If we are all out for under 200 then we both draw we would finish on the same points but Kent have 4 victories to the 2 for Sussex so they would stay up.

I sort of took it for granted we would get these last few runs
