It's all over... Monty wraps up a crushing victory by an innings and 19 runs... 23 points in the bag.

1411: By my calculations, Sussex cannot be crowned champions until we know the result of Glamorgan's game. They might want to use some of their prize money from promotion to repair the Hove press box, though, following an assault by one of the Northants batsmen.

If my calculations are correct, that's Monty's 50 wickets for the season

Way out west
Glamorgan are unlikely to beat Surrey and if they do they should not get more than two batting points. They then have to win the next game on maximum points.

All Sussex could possibly need is 3 points from the next game - just bowl Worcestershire out in 120 overs and declare!

Worcestershire cannot get anywhere near us now.

As it stands...(I believe)

We're clearly gonna be Champions but at the same time it's annoying having to wait for official confirmation! Well done though boys.

Bad light stopped play with Glamorgan struggling on 237 / 9 and I believe it's the last day tommorow.

There is no way that Glamorgan can win, at best its a draw 8 points plus 3 for bowling Slurrey out and 2 for getting less than 300, it may be inly 1 for getting less that 250 = 13 max which = 202. Does that not mean we have already won?

Championship Points

Win: 16, Tie: 8, Draw: 3

Batting bonuses:
200-249 runs - 1pt
250-299 runs - 2pts
300-349 runs - 3pts
350-399 runs - 4pts
400 and over - 5pts

Bowling bonuses:
3-5 wkts - 1pt
6-8 wkts - 2pts
9-10 wkts - 3pts

Bonus points apply for first 110 overs of the first innings only

So even if Glam win they only get 21pts taking them to 210 leaving them 21 pts behind us a gap very difficult to make up in one game with only a max of 24 pts to win.

Am I wrong?
