Championship Points

Win: 16, Tie: 8, Draw: 3

Batting bonuses:
200-249 runs - 1pt
250-299 runs - 2pts
300-349 runs - 3pts
350-399 runs - 4pts
400 and over - 5pts

Bowling bonuses:
3-5 wkts - 1pt
6-8 wkts - 2pts
9-10 wkts - 3pts

Bonus points apply for first 110 overs of the first innings only

So even if Glam win they only get 21pts taking them to 210 leaving them 21 pts behind us a gap very difficult to make up in one game with only a max of 24 pts to win.

Am I wrong?

Looks right and I imagine if we only get 3 points at Worcestershire, we may win the league on matchs won.

However Glamorgan have to win  and we would have to have a complete disaster to not get 4 points at New Road

Chant of the day was "Is she really going out with him?" from the beer garden of the Cricketers as Brenda left with a gentleman friend. :lolol:

Good luck to Brian the gate opening man in his retirement

He still seems very fit and able, is this because the new pavilion wil have no gate, deeming his role redundant. Not sure I even want to go anywhere will the Brenda's balls idea.

Job well done today, especially as I am away working tomorrow, still come Saturday and full attention back on the Albion and a fine double winning week.

Like a zombie that won't die, with 36 overs left and only one wicket in hand Glamorgan are still heading for more bonus points....

Glamorgan 266/9 (73.5 ov)

Come on Surrey hit em with a cricket bat like in Shaun of the dead

I see the umpire is a Brighton boy - I'm sure he'll do the right thing if it gets too close

Glamorgan all out very quickly - an LBW (don't know if it was Bodenham doing the right thing)

Slurry 14-1 - unless Glamorgan take a hatful of wickets before lunch, we should have sealed this around 2.00

Could be an exciting finish although Glamorgan will no doubt keep an eye on what is going on between Worcestershire and Middlesex.
Worst case scenario for us is a Glamorgan win will leave us needing just four points from final match next week assuming that Glamorgan take maximum points against Derbyshire.
Can anyone seriously see us not winning the title?

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Surrey are a cricketing version of Liverpool. An illustrious history. Spend big. Promise big. Deliver little.

I love the way they poach our players and STILL fail to overhaul us. Mwahahahaha.

That plan of sending KP back to the counties to get some batting practice is working well, isn't it?

was wondering if RHB was going to make a sporting declaration and give Glamorgan a sporting chance of chasing down the runs, i guess i`ll never know.
