They said the weather for the fourth day of the test would be dodgy yet we almost had a fulls day play if it wasn't for those naughty cricketers upsetting Darrell Hair. So I would wait and see what Mother Nature has in store for us.

Come on Sussex

Now, sorry to jump on the glory hunting band wagon but this sounds like a bloody good laugh and i can get tickets for the grandstand upper. I've never been to a cricket match before and the missus is quite keen to come to. Should I go and is it wise to drag the missus along?

Definitely on both counts, although being Lords it's a bit prim and proper with less fun and music but it should still be a bloody good day out for a newbie or two... Pack a hamper though, it's bloody expensive in there!

Cheers trig. I think we will. Sorry to be daft but what is the format? 50 overs each or summat? When is kick off and how long does it usually go on for (weather permitting)?

Gates open at 08.45, play starts at 10.45, 50 overs a side with a nice big luncheon in the middle, could go on to around 19.00 at the latest.

Thanks again Trig.
Right, we're in. Grandstand Upper for me and the missus. You going with your lads Pezza?

traditionally, when one day cricketers wore white I dont remember singing and chanting like at football

It got a few airings at the '93 cup final (although we didn't win the cup :( )

and in fairness most of the singing and chanting I've experienced has been at the expense of Ryan Sidebottom's haircut, Robert Key's fat arse and the like

Sadly I cannot make it on Saturday :( I'd dearly love us to stuff Lancashire

Come on you Sharks!

The forecast has now changed for the better - looking a lot drier but no doubt it will change again tomorrow.

Need it to be over on Saturday as I can't get back up to Lords for the Sunday.
