Its a long shot for me to do this as I have worked lined up (that is'nt yet booked) but out of curiosity what have you mangaged to get flight wise, and how long are you staying out for.

going for a week (8th-15th) with Qatar Airways - £320

match tickets are 1000 rupees to 3500 rupees, so £12 to £44

its not meant to have taken off like the other league, so there probably wont be full houses, so tickets will be easier to get hold of

That sounds fantastic, good value on the flight, as it will be cheap when you are out there, how many games will you get in, will you get in other games apart from Sussex, I imagine no chance of rain afected games.

It may have to be sky/espn subscription for me although I am dreaming of a lottery win.

Sussex must be excited as well Murray has just hit 3 sixs off the CC over, practice makes perfect.

Do the match ticket include:

Delhi Daredevils v Wayamba

and

Victoria v Wayamba

?

The games we could in theory watch are

Delhi Daredevils vs. Victorian Bushrangers
Delhi Daredevils vs. Wayamba
Victorian Bushrangers vs. Wayamba

and both Sussex's games, but an excursion to the Taj Mahal is in the pipeline too

Delhi have Glenn McGrath, Paul Collingwood, Daniel Vettori, Kartik and Shewag in their team

Taj Mahal will be a great distraction, a fine building shame he never built the black marble one on the other side of the river to mirror it.

My friend is tempted as he has found a flight for £267, he is pondering what fixtures he will get in for his time away.

there were cheaper flights than what we paid, but the reputation of the air line made us pay the extra £50

Think it was Gulf Airways, Austrian and Turkish Airways that were really cheap, and another airline id never heard of

Match ticket details come out Friday, so then we will know what a ticket entitles us to, but paying under £30 for two games of Sussex in the Champions LEague doesnt seem to bad to me

What's the capacity at Delhi? I assumed that coz of the success of the IPL out in India and the hype surrounding the tournament that it may not be that easy to actually get hold of tickets. I'm considering heading out there myself, but the thing is, I prob won't know for sure for a couple of weeks yet.

Also are those flights from Heathrow or Gatwick? Cheers mate

My Indian pals at work told me that if I didn't get the Taj Mahal in then they wouldn't talk to me again and I'd be a bit of a :mendoza:

Seems fair, I am desperate to go there.

The official tour party is staying in a reet posh hotel, £85 a night, thats 3 x more expensive than loads of hotels in the aera, maybe can blag it in and use the swimming pool and dine with the other fans.

Its not the same hotel as the players though!

You need to apply for a VISA before going, its £30
High Commission of India in London, Indian High Commission in United Kingdom, India in UK

But you cant apply for it until you have accomodation sorted, and you have to do some kind of health screening on arrival, and if they say you are not well enough, you cant enter the country!

I'm still wavering.....have to ask at work today if I can get the rest of that week off.

Don't forget you'll need an extra few quid for the Immodium.

New south will whitewash us, If they bat first they will get like 230 and we will be all out for about 100. Though it will be fun so who cares.

As each team is allowed 4 overseas players, what's to stop Sussex from drafting in some additional firepower for this?
