Yorkie you are absolutely right about the disgraceful way they got rid of the Brighton Tigers. I'm not old enough to remember, but my grandad was a Canadian who moved here after the war, and used to go and see the Tigers, always told me how gutted he was when they closed the rink. Wasn't there talk of bringing the Tigers back? at Black Rock?

Yes there is talk when we get the PROPER, FULL-SIZED ice rink at Black Rock that this city deserves and needs. It's because this is planned that I'm glad the current one has finally gone as it stops the weasly anti-progress lobby from saying "There's no need, Brighton already has an Ice Rink".

PS - They shouldn't build flats though, I think the one thing we all agree on is the fact that there is not nearly enough affordable car parking space in Central Brighton.
